Reporting for PA, Pittsburgh here. I played long ago and there was a few others who played. Started buying guys a bit before OIC, and now I have 5 armies 300pts+ each >.> My one friend will play when I want to, but as for more then that I haven't seen anyone else. I love the game and would love to play more people, but I dunno if anyone else likes it around here.

There is absolutely no mention of 3rd edition now on the Dark Sphere website, which is rather odd.

Not that odd - the pre-order period is over for both customers and retailers so if they kept taking orders they could end up having taken orders for something they can't get hold of.

I've still got it listed because I ordered more copies than I got pre-orders for.

Edited for typos...

I just find it funny that there is no mention whatsoever of the 3rd edition rulebook. No 'call for information' or 'pre-order' here, where customers could ask to be put on a pre-order list or some such like.

I can't find another website that has done the same, and that includes looking at Wayland, Element Games, Arcane Miniatures

There is also no mention of it when you look at the description of the 2nd edition book, which they happen to have 12 of in stock apparently..

Hmm, that's indeed a bit odd. But then I stopped stocking the 2nd edition rulebook way back in March or so because of the N3 announcement...

I've been on WHFB binge recently, but I am now ready to get Infinity kick started. Only rolling three dice? Brilliant.

There seems to be a good core of players at the NWGC so hopefully I can just fall in with that lot.

The only thing is I'm really worried about effing up the paint jobs on the awesome minis!

The difficulty of painting Infinity minis can be mitigated to an extent by lots of washes and drybrushing (they take this very well)

On the other hand, accidentally cutting off a miniature's hands because you thought they were a bit of flash...

Sorry for laughing, but that really does sound like something I'd do.

I've just been watching Duncan Rhodes' "how to paint a termagant", and I think that scheme will look sweet on the Nomads... and is easy. Nuln Oil over ALL THE THINGS!

My painting lamp broke last week - I don't think I'll go near these minis until I have that replaced. Not risking any amputations because of bad light!

I remember building my Nasmat remotes, and seeing these little peices that looked like two pronged antennae. I looked over the model photo on the pack, couldn't see them anywhere. Oh well, into the pile of random stuff that might get thrown out eventually.

A few weeks later while painting them, I looked at their feet and... they have no feet? What? I looked at the photo, and saw these little two pronged feet. Must have been a mispack, and I didn't get an.... feth feth feth where did I throw those bits?

I actually found them, and my Nasmat have feet.

I snipped the handle of Anyat's knife off :( It was attached to her hand and not the knife so I did not recognize what it was until I assembled her. I have been able to hide my shame with some greenstuff.

You know what, I might just pay Golem Studios to build them for me...
