Best: bought a house in the best school district around for half the real value.

Worst: the shed attached to it burned down before we moved in. (House was fine.)

So, pretty good year.

Best/Worst: Finalized being kicked out of the army (medically)

Best/Worst: finding an "awesome", starting it only to realize that I'm really not cut out for it and suck at it.... Only to then be "struck" with my ideal job and starting to pursue it.

Best: Went back to school and got a job that's low-stress.
Worst: My 60 year-old Dad was fired from his job of 30 years... yeesh.

Worst: Losing my job of 6 years.
Best: Getting my new job, which I've been at for 2 months now.

Bad: finding myself still working at a crappy job with toxic bosses and absolutely stupid coworkers. One fifty year old man didn't know what 'surplus' meant. Seriously.

Good: my wife finally got pregnant (our first) after a year of trying. He'll be here in about a month, and then the hell of long nights begins....

The worst was getting screwed over with work, by a friend who I was actually trying to do a favour for. Ended up not getting paid for about two months work.

The best was probably winning a local chess tournament. It was nothing major, but there was an award ceremony at the annual club meeting, and I got my name engraved on a trophy, which was great. And somewhat justified all the time I wasted playing chess on the internet over the last few years.

Best and worst were the same thing.

My medical condition got so bad that I had to cut back to part time and get Social Security Disability.

Good because I don't trash myself out and still can pay bills

Bad because i can't work full time and I have to accept SSI.
