Assault squads were a staple of mine with the last dex, obvs, I'm less sure how I feel about them now. There's a formation with a vanguard and 2 assault squads that makes them really accurate on the deep strike. I like the idea of using that with metlaguns and inferno pistols.
Most people on this board love loading drop pods up with 5 man assault squads with two meltaguns and a serg with one or two inferno pistols.
A single five man deep striking squad with one or two flamers and a hand flamer on the serg is good for putting the hurt on infantry, seizing points on your opponent;s side of the board, and line breaking.
And running a 10 man squad up the field with two meltas and a decent veteran sergeant is not a bad idea either if you want to use them to screen other models in your force.

I was considering a few options, including the 5 man double melta in drop pods, but I didnt really think that it fit into my list.

I guess my death company and sanguinary guard deathstar would be much more effective at what I would use them for.
I have been discouraged from using a squad and a dreadnought in stormraven from the comments I have gotten from here.
I really dont know what to put in the stormraven, as a terminator assault squad would be very difficult to fit into this list and I think I would want to use them with buffing units.

I have created a new list, but my main concern is a potential lack of bodies as well as 'putting all my eggs in one basket' with both the furioso and assault terminators with librarian in a stormraven.

Feedback would be greatly appreciated as always!

This totals up at 1985 so I might consider changing a few weapons arround on the tac squad sergeants. I am considering adding another fast choice as well and I like the idea of having two stormravens, but it will be interesting to hear your thoughts!

You can exchange he melts for the flame thrower on the furioso instead and free up ten points. You can then either take a combi weapon somewhere, or a couple melta bombs.

Thanks for the reply. Do you think this list is better than my other one? I am concerned that I dont have enough bodies and I only have one stormraven.

I personally would only run a single Stormraven if you also had a quad gun or a Stalker.

Do you think this list is an improvement on the last?
And it would be cheaper for me haha (I already have one).
