Hey, I just remembered I kind of love the Sphynx, has that gotten particularly worse or better with the recent changes? Since... can't you not hack CA TAGs or did that change (or am I just off entirely).. and I mean TO and a spitfire never hurt anybody (on my side!).
This would be my question. Spinx is the only TAG I can see myself running in the near future. I'm not sure what to think of the new camo reaction rules since I haven't got a chance to test it out, but jumping out and saying "surprise" with 2 heavy flamethrowers still seems good. It is a darn shame I can't use Noctifers to confuse my opponents with extra TO markers aymore though. I understand the whole "TAG can fit through a human sized door when camouflaged" exploit they're fixing, but still...it was fun.

Like watching other people play video games (badly) while blathering about nothing in particular? Check out my Youtube channel: joemamaUSA!

I ran an Iguana in both 200pt and 400pt lists in Australia's largest Infinity tournament recently, went undefeated and finished 2nd overall. The Iguana was my Tournament MVP.

Tags combine offensive firepower, durability and speed in a single package in a way nothing else in the game does. In N3, most of them do work best in a Fire support role due to the HMG range bandings, but never forget suppressive fire! A TAG in Cover putting bullets downrange is a pretty prickly prospect, so long as you remember where 24" ends.

If you are going to send them up the table, they do need more support than previously, either in the form of your skirmishers clearing the way, your hackers standing by to counter other hackers, or even a cheap AD trooper ready to drop in in support. I don't find this a problem. Infinity has always been a game of having the right tool for the right job. TAGs are still real good at their job. Hell, with suppressive fire, they probably do a better job of board control than previously.
