drop melta, valkyrie and melta squad, land speeder with melta ummmm oh shadow swords! haha
use rockets and lascannons to knock out the shield and use melta and D weapons to bring it down ...

i bought a stompa a while back and i tried this type of list against ig.
my stompa was attached to the ghazkull detachment from the supplement so my bigmek could take the 4up invul mega force field (also was filled to the brim with meks).
i won that game, and i could imagine it doing good in a tourney, but remember this for the 4++ stompa...either get into mellee and bypass the shield with the best mellee unit you can field (preferably a large blob to bubble wrap him to avoid as much damage as possible from the stomps, ally an imperial knight or two for best option), or get anything with destroyer strength ranged weapons which can avoid the shields on a good roll and just in general do epic damage to other superheavies (try out ally ig baneblade with destroyer weapon).

after beating my friend that one time with my stompa we pretty much houserulled that you could only bring a superheavy if your opponent is bringing one. try this as an ultimatum for this stompa dbag.
