I try to usually avoid comparing "I want X over Y" things, but in straightforward "would I like more Charcharodons", sure why not. However they're low on my wants list.
Also I thought they were part of the Cursed Founding and it was rumored they're from World Eaters stock?

That was the Minotaurs. IA10 says the oldest known record of the Carcharadons is from M36 (when the Cursed Founding took place) but that the text appeared to refer to an older work detailing incidents in M32/33. That they are a Raven Guard successor is supported by the Horus Heresy stuff: a Raven Guard Terminator and Contemptor in Extermination have Carcharadon style tribal markings, described as being "derived from the decorative arts of the Lycaean slave-miners".

Oh oops, getting my Forge World backstories mixed up =P

He's probably someone that thinks Tacticals with extra melee weapons is bordering on cheese. Hell, CSM does that part better, and they're not taken for a reason.
If only Tacticals could take two Special Weapons. That'd be one of the only necessary things to make them look more attractive (though better Bolters wouldn't hurt).

that or he's a CSM player whose a little cheesed that he has to pay 2 points for CCWs, while space sharks have to only pay 1 point. I know that made my eyebrows raise.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

And any CSM player like myself can tell you that's too much for the melee weapon. I'd rather have access to two Special weapons than 1 point melee weapons.

This all day. I like the extra CCW but paying an extra point or two for an extra attack in an edition where it takes so much work to get into melee is just silly. It should have been left on the CSM standard without the points increase. If melee was stronger I'd swing the other way, but as is stands I don't agree with the points costing there.
For the sake of being precise, it's the neo-Latin name (compounded from Greek roots) for the genus of sharks that includes the Great White (Carcharodon carcharias). The classical Latin term is the rather less exciting-sounding Vulpes marina.
None of this makes the Carcharodons any less cool, however, so the answer to your question is obviously 'Hell Yeah!'. Given the further oblique references they have received in HH3, I would infer that somebody at FW likes them, and that we shouldn't be surprised if we see more of them in further IA books. Even if we don't, MkV power armour is readily available, and FW's recent Iron Hands terminators are wearing helmets of roughly the same style as Tyberos, so I would think at the least we will sooner or later see the bits produced (MkV-esque helmet, studded terminator pads) to make a decent kitbash. (Maybe when the Raven Guard or Night Lords get some terminator models?)

Cool thanks for pointing that out. I know have a name for my Space Shark captain(for smaller games). I have not seen HH3 yet but I am looking forward to seeing it. Hell, if we don't get parts I will just do as you said an kit bash some together. I like the idea of using the torsos from the new blood angels tacticals.
"Because the Wolves kill cleanly, and we do not. They also kill quickly, and we have never done that, either. They fight, they win, and they stalk back to their ships with their tails held high. If they were ever ordered to destroy another Legion, they would do it by hurling warrior against warrior, seeking to grind their enemies down with the admirable delusions of the 'noble savage'. If we were ever ordered to assault another Legion, we would virus bomb their recruitment worlds; slaughter their serfs and slaves; poison their gene-seed repositories and spend the next dozen decades watching them die slow, humiliating deaths. Night after night, raid after raid, we'd overwhelm stragglers from their fleets and bleach their skulls to hang from our armour, until none remained. But that isn't the quick execution the Emperor needs, is it? The Wolves go for the throat. We go for the eyes. Then the tongue. Then the hands. Then the feet. Then we skin the crippled remains, and offer it up as an example to any still bearing witness. The Wolves were warriors before they became soldiers. We were murderers first, last, and always!" —Jago Sevatarion

No, just no.
They should be one of tose chapters purged for Heresy
Your face is heresy.
As someone who will be collecting an army of Carcharodons in the near future (mainly because of the tyberos model), yes, they should get cool stuff. As someone who is still waiting for the Thousand Sons to get their day in the sun, then the space sharks can wait until I've got me some sexy Scarab Occult models and other cool toys. Finish printing money by doing all the legions, then go back to doing the old FW chapters like Fire Scorpions and Carcharodons.

Let's see, are Carchadon's a Pre-Heresy force? No?
Sorry man, but unless your marines date from a group who fought directly in the Horus Heresy, Forgeworld isn't going to be doing you any favors any time soon.
And you always run into Astral Claws and Mantis Warriors players.

Weren't those all before the full-on HH craze hit the FW staff?
EDIT: I didn't know they made Mantis Warriors I'm going to have to go check those out!

Maybe once HH is no longer equivalent to printing money we will see something. I still hold out hope ofter the new Vraks book. I could see a Badab book to follow it up.

It's a consolidation and updating of the previous Vraks books according to the email.
And yes, a Badab book update is something we should expect eventually. If we're going to get things we don't have for it yet (like a model for Silas Albrec, Exorcists Captain).
