Yeah, that would be boring to play and just piss off your opponents. I'm not familiar with Glin Daro, what can he do and what ship is he from?

yeah.. they should really be less complicated rules wize, and come with lots of cardboard planets/asteroids/space stations and other forms of scenery.

He is from the Trager RiF month 3 prize. He can take an action to repair 1 hull or 1 shield for 3pts. He completely blows away any other repair crew in the game.

Hmmm. I could replace My Enterprise Refit with the S'Gorn and upgrade Dalby to Glin Daro then.

The 180 on the refit is nice though.

Yeah. The S'Gorn's ability might be useful though. Not sure which way to go. Since I have the Enterprise pulled out already I'll probably just use it.

Hey, so here's something special I came up with, bare with me, lol. Here's what I plan on taking to MoH.

Scimitar 38
Taris - 4
Independent Fleet Captain (Crew) - 5
Make them see us! -0 (Free talent from Fleet Captain
Bochra - 0 (Taris fodder)
Parem - 0 (Taris Fodder)
Pavel Chekov - 2 (White Aux movement) - Officer Exchange rule
49 points

Prototype 01 - 24
Gareb (Valdore 5 underneath) - 0
Multi-Spectral Emitters - 3
Backup Sequencer - 2

29 points

Regent's Flagship - 32
Khan Singh - 5 (Officer Exchange)
Red Alert - 2
Goval - 0
Emergency Medical Hologram (crew) - 1
Phlox - 1
Secondary Impulse Reactor - 1

42 Points

120 points

The Idea with Khan's Flagship is that If I need to take an aux token, I can, and start using the Impulse Reactor to get around without disabling it thanks to Goval, Phlox, and EMH. And Red Alert is there for one good hurrah with Battle Stations and finishing off a couple of ships with the 360 attack.
Prototype 01 is pretty much a self regenerating, evade dice tossing runt. It's only there to distract.
The Scimitar pretty much can take pot shots in any direction twice, and I plan on taking out a ship's shields with the primary attacks, then use Make them see us! to take the ship out with a forward 6 maneuver.

Officer exchange only allows to work one dual faction for entire fleet. For the Scimitar you picked Romulan/Federation and in the Regents' you took MU/Independant.

You must stick with the same two Factions across the entire fleet not ship to ship.

He is using the scenario special rules not the Officer Exchange Resource. The scenario allows each ship to take 1 captain, crew, or admiral without paying the faction penalty.

Yeah, the special rules allow each ship one out of faction crew/captain/admiral.

I pretty much just abused Khan though. lol.

What did you think? Is it a good list?

I like it except I'm not a fan of Make Them See Us! on Taris....at Skill 6 she may not get any defence dice agaist the 4 dice from MTSU. You are cloaked after all. Unless since its free your ok to never use it when your opponent is sporting all moderate to high skill captains.

Regents flagship: there is a easier way and maybe better. Drop the EMH and Secondary Impulse reactor. Use the Romulan Helmsman instead that way you avoid the Aux token and get to do 3 red maneuvers in a row and still do other actions. Goval stops the first, next turn Phlox takes the second disable before you move, lastly and the helmsman keeps the third. Not a single green maneuver is required to remove a AUX token.

I liked romulan helmsman, but is there anything else that gives me any synergy with what's already on the ship? Does Boheeka still work if I spend my BS token in combat?

Yes, Boheeka still works, but no other upgrade may play off the BS token. I'd qoute the rules but I can't see them while at work. It's the same rule that Breen Aide can't be used if you already used the scan token to use Anti-Proton Scan, unless you have 2. I think you have one spare point so not sure what to do with that point currently. if you want Boheeka not sure who to eliminate Phlox maybe, since Goval is free. that still leaves you with 1 point, which you should never underestimate initiative.

Well it was only me and one other person this past weekend. He had the Ent-D, Borg D8, and a Borg Sphere. Picard and Spock were involved with some cloaked mines. I made a couple of movement errors and some bad SBT rolls. It wasn't even close.

For Peak Performance I was initially considering 2x Bajoran Interceptors, 2x NX classes, and the IRW Praetus. The idea being that I could just respawn, not lose any shields (basically don't let them get any points for hitting shields and don't pay extra SP for shields I will lose), and ping the opponent for lots of points. But I no longer think this is viable since it would take too long to respawn and re-engage the opponent. Now I am thinking lots of hull and shields so if a ship does go down it's only once and only loses one shield.

We had our MoH OP tonight, lots of high hull ships, but a few 3 hull surprises too.

Winner was running a beefed up ISS Defiant w/Sisko, Admiral Worf, Indy Klingon fleet captain and a crap ton of cheap upgrades for Sisko to toss (Saakona to make weapons cheap/free, Jen Sisko, Garak, and Bashir were the crew I think), a Scimitar with Picard, Interphase Generators, Secondary Impulse reactor, and finally Prototype 01 with Gareb (with Donatra underneath).

One player was running a fully kitted out Avatar of Tomed along with the Prototype 01 (I didn't get to play this person so I didn't see what all it had). Two of us were running high hull borg shenanigans, the TO was using the Pagh with it's Captain (he always includes the prize ship he gets for running in his build), along with an Octahedron with Starter Picard, and a Sphere with Dukat. I was running the Mirror Enterprise-D with Mirror Riker, a Sphere with Donatra, and a Sphere with Starter Picard. The final player was running a Scimitar with Picard and a bunch of upgrades, and the 2nd Division Battlecruiser with Flagship, Dukat and a fair amount of upgrades.

Mostly we were all just in it for fun and no one gripes about Borg locally (other than the super dreadnought cube, which we all agreed was bad for the game), it's just a small casual group. 2nd OP in a row my only loss has been to Admiral Worf's extra attacks (along with Rebellion this week). Ended up with the random Pagh so I was pretty happy as it's money I didn't have to spend on Ebay. This scenario wasn't terrible (I actually kind of enjoyed it), but still, I wish that OP play would do something more along the lines of X-Wing with some obstacle tokens, and only playing against your opponent not having most of the damage I take due to the the scenario rules. Really looking forward to Peak Performance for this reason, though I think I am going to retire the Borg Balls for a bit and play with the Mirror Universe stuff, especially with that new Enterprise due out.

Sounds like a nice turnout. I have my MoH today and I have no clue what to bring. I need some breakfast to help with this decision

Well breakfast helped me think up a list, didn't get to use it though. The store didn't get their OP kit and nobody else showed up so didn't even get a game in what a crappie day for gaming.

That sucks, what did you think up to use if you had gotten to play?

I modified the prior list I posted.

32 Battle Cruiser
06 Picard
03 Glin Daro
04 Cloaked Mines

32 Battle Cruiser
05 Dukat
03 Jenn Sisko
04 Cloaked Mines

28 USS Enterprise D
03 O'Brien (MU)

At that venue we usually don't run borg but all the ships have high durability, cruisers have 10 hit points, the D has 9. Two of them can self repair and still fire. I also like Jenn Sisko in this OP to mess with other peopls cloaked mines or ability to repair.

I was tempted, but I didn't have a chance to pack it up for the trip. I don't know when that one is going to be rescheduled, but the other place I play is having MoH the end of April. If the TO is cool with it, I'm going to use Terok Nor.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Hmmm... maybe

44 Terok Nor
05 Gul Dukat
03 Glin Daro

32 Battle Cruiser
03 O'Brien

32 Battle Cruiser
01 Centurion

120

It is a toss up between Dukat and Khan. Khan has a higher skill, bonus points if he lives, and cool Crit damage. But the double action with Dukat is nice.

Is there even enough room for the station on the playing field with all those SBTs?

You have to place it so it is touching the board edge. It will act as a magnet for the SBT

With them only doing a single damage a turn it pretty much became about just not caring about them and just trying to blast the opponent before your ship got overwhelmed, it's why the high hull ships have been so popular.

Made in us

Just be careful not to infect your other ships from Terok Nor.

Wait, you can transfer SBTs from Terok Nor just by being in close proximity?

IIRC if you are within range 1 of an infected ship during the end phase you get another. Double check the rules but I think that is one of the three ways to get them.
