Cost in the Rulebook? It's not in a Rulebook.

So... their email says use the cost in the rulebook. But that is not the cost in the update. Nowhere in that email does it say 400 points!

The most up to date rules say +300. The fact we received two different answers shows their inconsistency. No need to "boom" me when you have contributed nothing. You're simply on the verge of trolling me for having a different opinion.

Edit: by the way the main reason I posted my picture was you called me a liar. I proved I wasn't. That fact you accused me falsely and were proven wrong throws out, for me anyway, credibility. As you are quick to judge and to accuse. Two horrible traits to have as a gamer in general for any genre.

So you'll be using the Rulebook rules as per your email then? (If you would call IA:8 a Rulebook) Since it refered to that and not the update? So a Standard Kustom Stompa at full listed price, not a half price Big Mek Stompa.

ouch - not much point in even rolling off with a 400 point advantage - even at 1800 points that is a lot of points for his opponent to overcome.

Why even bother if its not going to be a decent contest?

I'm not trolling, chill man. Nobody ever won anything over the internet, and we always lose their temper. I admitted to being wrong, and am supporting good cheer and positive sportsmanship. However To allay any further possible misconceptions of my intent, I'm gonna unfollow this thread.

I have also been researching the Stompa in question and the majority say it is 100(Mek)+300(Stompa)+Additional weapons. Now fighting in an Internet Forum, a table-top miniature wargame forum at that, is truly a jest! I personally believe that rules are fallible and certain races are much stronger than others and I am going to take EVERY LEGAL (cause its in the rules) advantage I can get my hands on as a Ork player to win. PERIOD. Thank you for bringing this to my attention and I wish I could delete this whole thread cause it is beyond what I was looking for at this point.
