0-3 Monoliths can be taken in a Reclaimation Legion or Living Tomb
@ OP you could swap armies with your opponent and show them how to beat Necrons with their army if they intend to never play against the Decurion again

Could do. Maybe I will offer next time I see the guy. But I couldn't show him how to do anything, to be honest, because I've never played with an Eldar army before, and never really read much of the codex cuz I don't have a copy.

There's a reason our group banned the decurion in all but competitive games.
It IS broken enough to cause people to no longer want to play, a lot like other competitive edge lists, like Multi flyrants etc.

It's not that bad. 4+ RP is nothing new. I know its army-wide, but I am told 2 codices ago, 4+ RP was standard.

Sort of. It didn't affect AP2 or 1 weapons, and the whole army would vanish if a certain % of the troops were killed.
Personally I love the Decurion because this is really my first army and it gives me a guide of what to get.

First thing I thought was laugh out loud and point to him like they do in the Simpsons and say "you are getting mad at playing with plastic toy soldiers." That being said, I am only joking, I would just pack up and walk away. Anyone to get this mad over a plastic toy soldier game is really taking it way too serious. As people said when someone is this upset Nothing can calm them down. Let them go on their tantrum and just walk away and if he doesn't apologize at a later date, never play him again.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.
Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Sure. Keep telling yourself that. Considering that 4+ RP is now basically a FNP, therefore you can't sweep them and then consolidate over them to deny them this save, is fairly annoying.
Go play someone who runs all Land Raiders with Iron Hands CT so they get IWND on every vehicle and you'll have an idea of how annoying the Decurion formation can be.

I haven't had to deal with high school. Yet.
I had a near quit (minus the rage) at a 40k GT not too long ago. The TO and I spent the first 30 + minutes convincing the guy to play (he wanted to not play me because I had Serpent Spam) and the TO and myself continued to coddle him throughout the game. I eased off so much, he won.
Sorry if he's at a GT and refuses to play you because of your army then he has effectively conceded. That's just Bullsh*t.
Also if GW had sensible rules and balance there'd be less rage. But there isn't so it's par for the course.

Conceding a game you have no hopes of winning is not always a rage quit. Just because you want to say you tabled someone does not mean it is as much fun for the opponant to run his last little kroot around trying to hide him from being swamped.
Sometimes, i know this is a wild thought (sarcasm added), a player might be content to accept defeat in order to get started with another game. Time is valuable in gaming and many players want to make the best of it for maximum fun.
Personally, If I have someone that badly on the ropes, I would be content to accept a concession and get started with another game. I'm not worried about bragging how I tabled some guy on their 3rd game ever. More fun to start another game and try to coach and teach them so they will be more of a challenge in future games.

Gloat loudly, laugh at their n00bness, tell them to l2p and put out a full page ad belittling them, complete with photographs of steam rising from horns.
Seriously, what kinda question is that?
Why not ask them, and yourself, what's wrong? Ask them if they'd like to play another game and you'll mix it up a bit, and if you can, give them some pointers on what you think they might have done wrong.
If the legit army from the new codex is obviously superior to their army, tell them so, because there is no reason to play a game with a predetermined outcome. If a unit would change that, let them proxy in blanks to try it out before buying models.
Try to think of your opponent as an investment in your own gaming future rather than a victim of your empire to destroy, because would you rather humiliate him once, or play 100 games of that are close?

If I feel like a game is going too far in my direction for it to be fun for the other guy, I'll throw in my 2p from time to time when they are making moves/shots, "if it were me, I'd actually go there and deal with those guys as they are the real threat".
I genuinely find close games to be the most fun, where you have to push yourself to find that extra point here and there to try and claw back the win or just keep ahead.
