Thanks! I'll try to get pics up. I usually get games that are around 2,000-5,000 points a side though, so they can be a bit confusing

Due date for all these models for the Battleforce Challenge today is 2 PM. This means I can hopefully get a game allied to someone

I got an Ironstrider Engine.


I really don't like the "infinite power" part of their fluff. It's absolutely idiotic that the other variant, a heavy weapons platform, can never stop moving.

I do like their rules, however.

I've also decided to make my bases more interesting via drybrushing them with Kindleflame.

It was terrible. The pipes simply refused to match up, and the little circle things on the legs were a MASSIVE PITA to orient correctly.

Personally I found lining up the wires to the legs a bit of a PITA but apart from that the ironstrider is not a bad kit.

Great progress on the army already Verv, you are really painting your ad mech up quickly and to a great standard. It will be great to see how your Ironstrider turns out.

Thanks for the warning. I'll probably carry it seperately like I do for my Onager, but I'm going to need a more permanent solution.

My permanent solution was to break them off entirely and file them down.

I'll take some thin gauge brass rod later on and make a whippy style antennae for the back of the rider.

V, did you follow my advice regarding the Onager or did you glue the cabin on?

I unfortunately glued it down before I read that comment.

Let me know the next time you're going to buy one and I'll bring in my pin vice(with the appropriate sized bit) and a length of brass rod for you to use.

I'm going to have a WHFB game on the 30th so if you're planning on getting another Onager by then, I can help you do that before the game.

Full army shot as of 5/18. All bases drybrushed.

Tomorrow I hope (I am very unlucky when it comes to... well... luck) I can get a game in with AdMech. I will be picking up the last unit I need to finish up my Battle Maniple formation, which is Rangers.

Finally, I'll have a squad for my lone arquebus ranger!
