I have a counter to your list. Skitarii could do it, Ive actually been using the new Eldar dex unlike the rest of these plebs and the 27 rad carbine shots that hit on 2+ results in lots of wounds on the wraithknight and you can fit loads of skitarii in 500pts. I had a knight drop yesterday in 3 turns from some lascannon ironstriders and 2 units of skitarii vanguard.

Jezzails do it too and actually rend and do 2 wounds giving the knight only the FNP.

People are just lazy and hateful, that refuse to adjust. Don't worry about it.

Lets also not forget that Grav Centurians are still a thing and make short work of most things Eldar.....

Yep, Wraith knights don't really like Grav Centurions very much. I don't think they die to one round of Centurions from one round of shooting though

I think this list will do well against other elite armies, or armies that try to bring in a landraider. But against other fast MSU armies, this list will struggle with low model count.

Or if this list faces itself, whoever goes first would win.

Hold the jet bike units in reserve and keep the farseer out of LOS. Then butt f@ck them with the wraithknight and use the jet bikes to clean up the poop

If it's a tournament (which OP said it is) why would you not run the best list you can? That's the point. Friendly game? Yeah, this would be a dick move. But it's not that type of game.

We are now hitting the limit of competitive lists and just flat out dumb, easy win lists that defeat the objective of a game.

Note that I am a competitive player myself!

This, by morale law is cheating in my opinion.

If someone makes a list for an event that follows all the rules but you think is broken or "morally cheating", then your beef should be with the TOs and not any of the other players.

People will always push the rules to their farthest extent, this doesnt even do that. Its just hardcore list building and, honestly, something the TOs should expect. If they didnt want something like this all they had to do was disallow LOW or Super Heavies and GCs.

I have to say, I don't think I have ever witnessed Butthurt of this magnitude in 40k.

I actually find it rather amusing considering the fact that the previous Grey Knight codex release forced me to shelve my 4k points of daemons and also my DE almost unplayable.

The maturity level here is borderline Magic The Gathering. This is disappointing, hold yourself to a higher standard.

True, with as small of a community 40K already is there's no reason to make bad blood within it. I should not have goaded and responded to the earlier message...

It's just sad to see how a yet unreleased codex has broken the spirit of some competitive players.

I wonder if you would be better off dropping the shuricannons from the 3-man bike unit (since I assume they are just extra wounds for the Farseer) and add 2 Shuricannons to the WK. I believe GC's can fire "each" of their weapons at different targets, not just 2 of their guns. Having 1-2 shurcannons on his shoulder, means that you could shoot 1 D-cannon at unit A, the other D-cannon at unit B, then fire the shuricannon(s) at unit C that you wish to charge (since even GC's can only charge a unit they fired on)

Couple of people need to really take this to heart. STOP CRYING about the Eldar Book!! It's done, we know its coming, we know the rules so take all your disappointment and put it in trying to build lists to contend. Now if you just want to play for fun then ... do that... you don't HAVE to play Eldar.

Your List is a good start. I think with the limited amount of models you may have issues controlling objectives. And if you lose the knight you kinda get cherry popped. No doubt the big boy brings the pain but what other alternatives can you bring to help? Unit of wraithguard with D's? 3 full groups of guard with heavies... LOTS OF DAKKA.... Flyer and some Banshee's?

Just bouncing some idea's...

Sure you'll table your opponent in a few turns if not facing an identical list and I guess that's what you're going for here. Just don't make the mistake of thinking that any actual skill was involved.

Personally I don't think this list is better. I'd argue it's worse. But I think that depends on personal play style. Storm guardians aren't great at this level of points. They're good in a footdar list with lots of bodies. I think the bikes offer you a lot more. Though I'd be tempted to throw scatter lasers on all of them. I know you lose the pseudo rending... But the range gives you a lot more flexibility.

Yea, but lets face it, the point of the list is to get the WK.

So keeping that in mind I would argue the farseer isn't a good HQ choice at this level, an average of a power a turn isn't really worth it. So just keep the HQ cheap and if you really want the jetbikes that badly take this list save 30 points and get another guy.

Why would this be cheating when the tournament is likely to contain 10 of this same list, if not worse?

Also, your "morale" argument makes no sense whatsoever. if it is immoral to take the strongest possible list because that is unfair, and therefore no "fair" players take it, then it is also immoral to take the 2nd strongest possible list, because that list now becomes the strongest among the "fair" players and thus becomes unfair. Then the 3rd strongest list becomes immoral, and so on until all lists are immoral.

Every single tournament since time began has a "most powerful legal list". Why is it cheating to take the most powerful list, all of a sudden, but it never has been before?

"We are now hitting the limit of competitive lists" is just bananas. There is no limit. You could create an army that is 10 times as powerful as Eldar, just by dividing the point costs by 10. Most likely GW will release another codex soon that will make Eldar look like Dark Angels. Will then Eldar be "moral" again, and the new top codex become suddenly "immoral"? Why are Eldar "immoral" and decurion is somehow not immoral? Is there only 1 immoral list, or maybe it's the top 5? top 10?

Please let us know how you calculate all of this.

Noonono, you see the Decurion is IMMORTAL, subtle difference.

Only thing I can think of that might be an issue is

2x painboyz
2x 30 ork boyz with nob and pk
2x 1 deff koptas w/ rokkits

Not for killing you but just by sheer numbers to contest and claim objectives. Boyz don't care about single shot S-D and the fnp+cover will help vs the scatter lasers.

Wow a lot of hate just for posting a competitive list for advice. If you don't play competitively why are you even posting on a thread clearly labelled as competitive? Beggars belief. These people are a blight on the game and damage the hobby with their attitude that their hobby is all that matters and anyone that wants to enjoy the hobby is a different way should be attacked.

As for the List. Drop the Farseer what is he buffing? 2 little Jetbike units or another unit that already costs half your points? Take a Jetlock instead, cheap and decent as a MSU scoring unit. Pump the rest of the points into Jetbikes, perhaps add Lasers to the Knight so he can engage more units. Something like this:

Warlock Skyrunner 50
Jetbikes: lasers 81
Jetbikes: lasers 81
Jetbikes: 1 cannon 61
Wraithknight: lasers 325

35 S6 shots at 5 separate targets, plus 2 D shots, 4 super speed scoring units supporting the Knight.

Very Similar to the list i'll be running ^^
Although, play testing required this is what I'll be taking probably:

HQ:
Warlock Skyrunner, Spear 55

Troops:
3 Jetbikes, 3 Scatter Lasers 81
3 Jetbikes, 2 Scatter Lasers 71

Fast Attack:
Hornet, 2 Pulse Lasers 80

Lord of War:
Wraithknight, Scatter Laser 310

And of course, keep the Jetlock in reserve/out of LOS

Yeah, or you can keep it in cast conceal on itself for a 2+ jink or 2+ in a ruin
