Osprey posted up some rules for Tengu, Kappa, and some other mythical creatures, I just painted up some Kappa. Hopefully over the holiday I can break them out and ambush some travelers lol

I was going to say that I wondered what the point of mythological beasts in Ronin was, when you had Bushido for that, but then I was imagining a Ronin gang of a rabbit ronin with his friends the cats, rhino, fox, blind pig, etc. etc. so I dunno...

I'm sooo, sooo sorry.

I expressed that concern back when the minis were released, and got chewed out by Nick himself, among others, citing the problems of casting thin bits in metal. This is despite the likes of EM4 and the Perrys managing to cast relatively decent katanas from older sculpts and for much longer, which I brought up at the time. (I have examples from both, too. And true, Perry metals can have casting issues, but the katanas weren't one, IIRC)

I guess it'd be possible to file those chef's knives down to a decent shape. Pain in the bum that you'd have to do that, though.

I'm sooo, sooo sorry.

Some of the swords are OK, I think I'd be inclined to remove some of them and replace with plastics.

Think the sculpts of the miniatures themselves are really cool, very characterful. Perry have some of their own although those are a bit more mundane (don't mean that in a derogatory way, think they've gone for the historical accuracy).

Somewhere in south-central England.

I have most of the old time Citadel samurai figures, which I bought for playing Bushido (a Samurai RPG of the early 1980s.) The swords on those figures are just as chunky. I also have some Ral Partha Tengu that were released at the same time, whose swords are a lot thinner. The thin Tengu swords are much more prone to being bent during play. This is a particular hazard with individually based RPG and skirmish figures.

The old Citadel figures are still in production from Wargames Foundry.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Hi everyone!
We played a couple of rounds and some questions came up, regarding the combat pool.
Maybe anyone of you knows the exact rules, or can tell us, how you manage it.

1. Combined combat pool: If you fight with multiple models in combat, you combine the combat pools. OK. But what happens, if one model of that group gets killed. Is the combat pool of that dead model transferred to the other models of that group, or do i have to reduce the "group combat pool?"

2. If a model gets a grievous wound, the combat pool is reduced -1.
Does this happen immediately? So, let's say my model has 1 Attack counter left, but gets a grievous wound. Is that attack counter removed immediately, so that i can't hit back?

Thanks for your help, best regards.
