ImRightBehindYou wrote: Eldar wrecks everything, but if he doesn't do it in 1-2 turns, he gets whipped. Besides, you've pointed out ONE army as a counter, when the point being made is that almost every army TAC or casual loses vs this. Even in my post you quoted I said "If you bring a TAC, casual army, or even-semi competitive, MOST (<----) people will lose..." I didn't say everyone.. If you're going to counter me, at least be correct about it.
OK I'll bite. Here's a 1500 TAC Orks list that I was writing for a friend to take to a tourney that would walk over 5 Gallants:
CAD Warboss: PK, Da Finkin Kap 95
10 Boyz: Nob, PK, BP; Trukk with Rokkit 130
10 Boyz: Nob, PK, BP; Trukk with Rokkit 130
10 Boyz: Nob, PK, BP; Trukk with Rokkit 130
10 Tankbustas: bomb squig; Trukk with Rokkit 165
10 Tankbustas: bomb squig; Trukk with Rokkit 165
10 Tankbustas: ; Trukk with Rokkit 160
CAD Pain boy: 50
10 Boyz: Nob, PK, BP; Trukk with Rokkit 130
Grots: 35
MANz: BP; Trukk with Rokkit 155
MANz: BP; Trukk with Rokkit 155
That's a standard Ork TAC list with 39 S8 shots a turn 11 power klaws, 30 melta bombs and 9 ObSec units. The Gallants even with 350 extra points can't fight that. At range the Missiles do about 6 HPs a turn before saves though mobility should result in the Knights not always getting saves. In combat 11 klaws and 30 melta bombs is just too much for the Knights to deal with.
Any standard Eldar build will either have lots of SD which bones you, lots of mobility so you're chasing shadows and lots of Wraithknights which out match you. Gladius will normally have about 6-8 assault cannons and 4 Lasplas, plus melta or Grav or tank hunting Las. EldAIR literally laughs at this. My standard 1800 Cron list (which did very poorly at a tournament only finishing 2nd) has 122 gauss shots a turn which is 15 HPs a turn before saves (which again you don't always get). You charge and kill stuff right? Well not important stuff as I have 2 Canoptek Harvests so the early game will be spend charging Wraiths and Scarabs and Spyders. Nid just chorale the Gallants and hit them with Haywire and S6 spam, but largely going for the VP win.
Essentially there are lots of TAC lists that don't struggle with Knights. In fact a good TAC list should have a plan to deal with a Knight army or it is not TAC. By going all Gallants he is making it easier for the lists that just want to tarpit and absorb the Knights whilst winning on VPs. As well as the lists like Crowns who can throw expendable units under the buss whilst pouring gauss into you or lists like the Orks and Eldar that out match you in CC. Heck double Insensate Daemonkin cause this list a MASSIVE problem.

It says, "you may not have more cerastus knights than standard knights" or something similar. You can see for yourself, forgeworld has a pdf for them. So essentially you can only get 1 or 2 of any cerastus knights in a knight army.
I don't think it would work like that: if x=Number of Cerastus Knights and y=Number of Knights then the arguement is that X cannot be larger than Y. So Y=0 then X <= 0
New list:
Exalted High Court
2 Paladins one is warlord High King
2 wardens, one with melta gun
1 Gallant melta gun and sanctuary. He is knight Commander.
Everyone else is a baron.
Paladins hurt hordes and provide back up assault.
Wardens shoot air or rend vehicles or finish off small squads.
Gallant will kamikaze and get benefits from sanctuary.
Looks more rounded and solid than first incarnation. I'd throw the Gallant up a flank so you can maximise the double ion shield, forcing all your enemies shooting into one of the two facings you have covered. I'd like to see a fist on atleast one Knight to help against MSU and particularly Gladius where it really excels.
I finished building one and painted it like a stained glass cathedral but the orange makes it stand out like a Mexican piƱata. I have a chance to paint over the orange with red and retrace the black lines to make them darker before I add a gloss coat to make it look like glass.
At this point i have abandoned my ideas for a Skinless Titan and the jungle book titan. I am now going to chrome out the body and paint the armor shells separately. I am also thinking about redoing the stained glass titan once everything is built and painted.
