I've used the GW glue which is awful, and I have tried testors. Testors is very annoying because at least when i used it, it takes forever to dry, and while applyiing the glue, you get strings of the plastic glue everywhere....

Which glue would you say is better the Revell or Tamiya? I will try one of them out.
Which Testors did you try? Testors made the stupid choice of releasing Model Master (the good stuff with a metal applicator) and another one with a plastic applicator. They should have only released the metal applicator one. It does take a while to fully dry, but you typically only need to hold the part for about 5-10 seconds, and then you can reposition the joint for a few minutes after that.

Plastic glue can get stringy though I haven't really had a problem with that for years (it might have been because I used to use too much, not sure to be honest, lol).

Revell and Tamiya are 2 different animals, I use the Revell Contacta with the metal applicator, it's quite a thick glue, you apply it and then press the parts together. Tamiya Extra Thin is, not surprisingly, very thin and comes with a brush applicator. You can actually hold the two parts of the model together and then brush the glue on to the seam, it's so thin that it will be drawn in to the gap and join the parts together.

If I were only going to buy 1, I'd probably buy the Testors Model Master (metal tip one) mainly because I prefer the Testors bottle to the Revell bottle (the Revell one has this annoying tendency to keep flowing for a few seconds after I've stopped applying it). The Tamiya glue is nice to have around, but I find it less versatile than the thicker glues.

But if you are enjoying superglue, there's not a lot of reason to change. They're just different beasts and I can certainly understand why someone might prefer superglue over plastic glue. I use whichever one better suits the circumstances.

For some reason I thought you said you were using GW Citadel glue, thats why I said throw it out, because it work horribly.

That's exactly what I said, it's right there in the title and it's been working a treat, so I stand by what I said 100%.

Ah gotcha, i thought i was going crazy or something. Ya I cant stand GW plastic glue. I tried it numerous times on different applications and it has never worked well for me.

I've tried the Testors that comes in a metal "toothpaste" looking tube.

Fair enough, but it's definitely working for me and I'm certainly not going to throw it out just because others might have preferences for other brands.

Don't believe me? It's all in the numbers.
