There really aren't any other good ways. BA must use grav bikers. SW must use TWC, since they have no grav. C:SM has a plethora of grav options. DA have grav bikers. And I guess grav on their devs. But why would you do that with no skyhammer.

If the thing didn't move 12", it might be killable with lascannon/krak missiles, but it gets into assault too quickly for that to be viable. The 12" move is the single biggest advantage over two Wraithlords, followed closely by the inability to tarpit the WK with schmucks.

PA Devastators are cheaper then a Gravturion squad and still generate 80% of the firepower on the drop and 133% if they survive to fire for a second round..

Plus they can overwatch.

I wouldn't go that far. Since you're playing Codex: Imperium anyway (all you Marines look the same to me), look to your green and black brethren.

Ravenwing Blacknights fairly well annihilate Wraithknights. They also mix with your other colors of marines without destroying Chapter Tactics.

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

That leads me to conclude you are terrible at math, or uninformed about the rules Black nights actually possess, or both.

Feel free to get a Wraithknight near a unit of them and see who's alive the next turn.

could you elaborate on how Black knights are effective?

my DA knowledge is limited so a detailed explanation is welcome

Please enlighten me, then. As far as I know, they have twin linked plasma guns. That's not very threatening to a WK.

Strength 7 vs Toughness 8, with non-armour saves.

Ima side with Martel on this one.

They each have twin-linked plasma talons (plasma guns with 18" range). Should they decide to Jink, they have a 3+ re-rollable cover save. When taken in a Ravenwing Strike Force, they can Jink on turn 1 and fire without Snapshotting on turn 2.

They each have 3 S5 Rending attacks in melee (4 on the charge). They also have Hit and Run. Unlike many Hit and Run units, they might even leave on the turn they charge, then dare someone to charge into their BS2 twin-linked plasma gun Overwatch.

They have Stubborn, Scout, and Move through Cover to get them safely and quickly to anywhere you need them to be.

If you were feeling up to it, you can replace one of the plasma talons to give that Wraithknight -1 WS and I, so they'd hit him on a 3+ and swing simultaneously.

They are all-around murder machines with the firepower, fisticuffs, speed, and durability to not just kill Wraithknights, but anything else that you deem necessary.

They are also half the cost of a grav-turion and don't wobble around the board like an old man with 2 broken hips.

Ideal situation I decipher from what you described:

Eight BKs trading one talon for stat reduction. ~3 wounds on shooting, subsequent charge deals ~2 more, they lose two of their number to the WK not accounting for stomps.

This assumes WK has no cover, BKs have taken no casualties getting within 9'' (rapid fire assumed) of the WK, discounts WK overwatch, assumes no shield for WK.

They are my bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are my Space Marines, and they shall know no fear.

I personally would not take the grenade, but yes, that math checks out.

Really?! I was under the impression that there was a laminated sheet in the box, kind of like the Skitarii had with them. Oh damn then, how do people make sure you have a "real" copy of the rules then?

I think Chaos has have a few weapons and characters that do it. Black Mace is obviously the first and foremost.

Belial has a Fleshbane sword and that's the only one I can think of right now. These things are indeed few and far between.

I think some Daemon stuff has it as well.

Yea, the Black Mace. Useable only by CSM Daemon Princes, iirc.

I mean chaos daemons had some kinda reward or greater reward that had a sword with fleshbane armor bane or something.

No codex in hand atm

Skarbrand has a fleshbane, instant death weapon.

He can kill absolutely everything he touches, unfortunately getting him places is nearly impossible.

Incorrect sir, I have my laminated datasheet right beside me, tucked in the back of my UM Limited edition Codex: Ultramarines.

That was an expensive month.
