Loving it so far but feeling I need a good fireteam to do more. Want to do raids but yeah...

Here's a question for PS4 owners who own the digital copy - can another PS player without a Destiny account log in and play destiny using your Playstation (like they would any normal game?)

You disgust me.

Also, Sidearms are cool. I got through the Exotic sword quest to the last stage where you have to have 300+ light and can't use groupfinder, which is all sorts of crap.

Just go into it using matchmaking. It's not that hard did it with 2 randoms as a 290 light. Just read the description carefully. Kill dark blade and the knight withib 30 seconds of each other. Exotic swords are awesome! And drop at 310 light!

I thought it was a special Strike that didn't have Group Finder, so that makes it a bit better.

Ace of Spades is awesome, really enjoying it.
Still haven't attempted the new Raid, or even the Crota one (as I didn't buy the Dark Below DLC until TTK) Technically, Oryx shouldn't even be mad at me!

What is everyone's general weapon loadout for the King's Fall raid?
ATM, I'm packing either the Hung Jury SR4/ Ace of Spaces, 1000 Yard Stare/ Stillpiercer (Hunter exclusive sniper) and either Void Edge/Dead Orbit rocket launcher with Tripod + Grenades and Horseshoes. Probably Nightstalker subclass with Silvered Ahamkara Grasps or Gunslinger with Celestial Nighthawk.

They/them

Are there any good clans on ps4 that are friendly with schedules? Working full time and being a dad only gives me the evenings and weekends to play. Also loving my hawkmoon

So... I just picked this up last week and have been enjoying it a lot. I did all of the year 1 stuff first, and now I'm a few missions into the taken king story and level 38

So, after you get done the story mode is it mostly just about raids and getting raid gear and all that stuff like WOW? I generally hate having to farm or play the same instance/mission over and over and over and over.

Yep. Also, the Crucible PVP.

They should just have matchmaking for everything, its a pain not being able to finish games because you don't have a fireteam.

Yeah that's one thing I'm noticing. I just finished the taken king last night, glad to see a ton of new quests, but most of them are very hard if not impossible for me solo. I like how strike missions match you up with folks, they should have that feature just for general questing too.

I always liked the borderlands method.. you can solo, but if you group it scaled up and gets tougher but you get better loot.

Raids should never have matchmaking, just way to complicated. Nightfalls maybe. Agree lots of things now involve a fire team but imho that's the whole point of this game.

As a single playergame destiny is garbage, and I would have given up ages ago. The only thing that makes me log on every day is having my clan to talk with and kill bad guys with

I dunno, I thought the single player missions were a lot of fun, I think they should just make the really tough endgame solo missions work more like strike missions.. or give you the option to play it as a strike or solo if your gear is good enough?

Here's a question.. so, I got this purple auto rifle when I got to 40, and it can magically consume guns that do better damage to increase its damage.. is it a good idea to keep that and keep upping the damage as I find better stuff? Or just ditch it when I get something better? I kinda like it, low recoil and easy to shoot from the hip or aim

I guess that it's a good idea to increase the damage if you like how it shoots, but don't take my word on it!

All the year 2 purples and Exotics can infuse to raise their damage/armor. Only do it with items you like and want to keep.

Now if only my team wouldn't flub on Clash at the last minute so I could get the bounty for winning it once that would be great. Only 0/4 and losing it at the last minute. Not bitter though.

I think that's why I haven't played PvP in months

One thing kinda bugging me is how glimmer maxes at 25000 instead of money being unlimited like every other game ever made. I keep finding stuff to turn into the cryptarch guy, but he won't let me turn it in if my glimmer is maxed.. and there's really nothing worth buying cuz I'm finding all the goodies I want just from killing stuff and questing. And since I can't turn the stuff in, his icon is always highlighted for me, making me think there's a quest step I missed somewhere whenever I go back to the tower.

If they want it to have a max, then they should have made it where you can still turn stuff in but you just get rep instead of cash.

If your money is maxed out buy weapon synthesis. If you don't really want them then turn the synthesis into a cult for reputation. Whenever the Weaponsmith has weapons for sale for Arms Day I never have money capped. This last time I ended up with a great Scout Rifle, Pulse Rifle, and Hand Cannon.

Finally won Clash on the fifth attempt then went one for six on the weekly PvP.

Also Häkke rules.

I stopped doing raids awhile back because to many high pitched voices screaming obscenities if the slightest thing went wrong. Sadly I need to do the King's Fall raid and the Nightfall to finish a quest. bleh

Yah, its really not that hard but people get ridiculous with it. You have people that require a certain age, depth of voice, shaders, emblems, weapons and light level. An the raid isn't even that hard. I did it at 297 my only time and it was a breeze.

If anyone is playing on xbone, make sure to friend me up (I'm yakface on XBL as well). Send me a message and let me know who you are on Dakka so I can friend you back.

I'm always down to do random missions, patrols, etc.

When I got home from Afghanistan, I just couldn't really get back into it. I dumped the money on Taken King, and I'll even acknowledge the changes they made where so much for the better.

The 7 month break from it broke me of the game though. Nothing about it now interests me anymore.

I'm on xbone as lll Necros lll .. That's 3 lowercase L's and a space on each side.. That's the only way I could get it to take my name :(

Also, I never wear a headset, but I'll follow along and kill what needs killing

Mayhaps we should create a dakka dakka clan?

I used to be pretty opposed to clans but after getting stuck on the raid 3 times in a row due to 'squeekers' or people joining the fireteam and then leaving unannounced 2 seconds later. I've given up on LFG and see the merit of getting into a group that isn't filled with rage quiters, squeekers and afk'ers.

I'm down for starting a clan, I just don't know if we'd have enough members to really make it worthwhile.

We could certainly try.

Necros...you gotta wear a headset man, at least for the raid! I get not wanting to wear it when playing with some randos, but when you're playing with decent people, any uncomfortableness of wearing a headset is certainly offset by the enjoyment of being able to communicate with each other, IMHO.

Yeah I could wear one for a raid, just in general I don't wanna. After so many games suffering through loud coughing, chewing, sneezing, breathing, babies crying, moms yelling, dads yelling, little brothers and sisters whining, and 12 year olds who just learned how to use the f word... Just got sick of the whole voice chat thing
