I have all my mats (don't own any FAT mats) rolled up in shipping tubes and kind of leaned up in a corner ... or a few corners if I am honest .

I got a F.A.T. Mat from the Kickstarter, but I haven't bought any more due to my issues with storage.

How are you guys storing your multiple mats? The bag that my mat came with tore almost immediately, so I have the mat rolled and sitting on a shelf, but it is an awkward solution. If I don't have objects propping the mat in place it will unfurl and roll off the shelf.

I am leery of folding the mat and storing it in a box for fear of damaging the graphics.

Any advice? Some of the new designs look great and would be really useful, but I don't want to deal with another difficult to store item.

Keep it rolled up and horizontal. Do you still have the box it came in?

@Kirasu

Yes they do! Although, the aesthetic is different between the mats. It totally works, but we find it looks best when you tile like mats together.

@RiTides

Thank you for the support and glad you like the new ones!

@Panic

If you don't like the very small logos, then you do not like them. Fair enough. And no, I am not telepathic.

@Manchu

In the North American warehouse? Yes, we have a very few left, we just restocked but they flew out the door. I recommend grabbing them soon.

@HBMC

We have an Oz distro now, my friend, and he constantly seeks to get the best shipping but it is what it is in that regard, we can't dictate what the post charges, unfortunately. If you have a courier service you know of though, Rantimus (our Oz F.A.T. Mat rep) will work with you to get you a mat saving as much on shipping as possible.

@Joyboozer

We do: http://austore.frontlinegaming.org/

@Manchu

Value for the dollar is in the eye of the beholder, but to get your table covered it is a reasonable price compared to other products on the market which are either much more expensive or are made of a material that is not as nice as ours is (IMO, of course, YMMV). As you noted though, folks really enjoy the mats as it makes such a dramatic difference in terms of your immersion in your game. If you get one, hope you love it, too!

@Dark Traveler77

The first bags we made were not meant to last, they were pretty flimsy. The new nylon bags are very durable and also very portable.

As you noted, don't fold the mat and put it in a box, that could damage it.

We can sell you one of the new bags at a discount since you backed the KS, just email us at" Orders@FrontlineGaming.org

Thank you for your support!

Unfortunately, no. Kinda wish I had, though. Hindsight is a

Oh man, I may do that, too - the new space mat I got has an amazing bag, but the bag for my Alpine from the KS is as you describe. Will shoot an email to that address

Any chance for some better pictures of the ship interior mat?

I’m sure glad GW is going to all plastic, so the ever-rising cost of white metal won’t impact the cost of their miniatures.

How can one grab what is out of stock? Are you some kind of Zen master?

Happy to help!

@Forlorn

Big picture, just for you!

NP, September has been expensive game-wise ... I appreciate the opportunity to recover from wallet exhaustion!

None of these really look like you could use them in infinity. The same streets would get old. They need a non description flooring sci fi type like the one in the ice storm box

warhammer 40k mmo. If I can drive an ork trukk into the back of a space marine dread and explode in a fireball of epic, I can die happy!

Has there been any discussion of a new DZC mat with a road layout that works for the tournament scenarios without placing buildings on top of roads?

So, are they 2" x 2" squares? If so, I'm buying one.

You could always buy one and crack out a knife, and cut it in half to fit your needs. I know you'd be overpaying, but it's just a thought.

@Manchu

Happy to assist!

@Orock

Ship Interior is pretty dang close to what you describe.

@piper

We may or may not be working closely with Hawk on several new mat ideas ;-)

Also, the original DzC mat was approved by Hawk, but missions changed after the fact, not much we could have done about it, unfortunately. It works great for standard play, and if you base buildings, you can cover streets and it's no big deal.

@Jaxler

While we don't recommend cutting the mats, we do have several customers that have done so.
