Just a quick question about deployment: it's legal to have a null deployment? I was under the impression you needed to have at least 50% of your army on the field. If I can keep my entire Daemonkin army in deep strike and outflank reserve I totally would.

That was 6th edition. Now you can have your entire army placed in reserve if you so choose. However, if at the end of the game turn you have no units on the field you automatically lose. This is why drop pod armies like to go second, as it makes the opponent waste their first turn of shooting and drop pods automatically come in on the second player's first turn.

That was 6th edition. 7th allows you to put all your army in reserves.

You still need something on the table at the end of the game turn, or else you lose.

That was removed in 7th. You can do so now but you must have something that either starts on the board that is tough enough to survive or something which arrives on your first turn (drop pods certain formations etc) as you lose at the bottom of a game turn in which you have nothing on the board.

*Edit* Despite refreshing first I was still double ninja'd. Well done.

The 50% reserve rule is gone in 7ed, but you still automatically lose if you have no models on the table at the end of a game turn
