Imperial Guard, not just because it's a bunch of regular humans trying to take on the forces of the universe, but also just the sheer diversity. There are so many design aesthetics and different doctrines. You have the Wehrmacht style Mechanized obsessed Steel Legion, the elite Cossack style Firstborn, WW 1 Wehrmacht Death Korps of Krieg, Paratrooper style Elysians, it doesn't matter so much that they're rip-offs of prexsisting military groups.

I am the Paper Proxy Man.

Wehrmacht wasn't nearly as mechanised as popular belief says it was. The WW1 army wasn't called Wehrmacht either.

My picks: IG

CSM

and Sisters of Battle

The dark behind the eyes.

I'll admit to being torn. I really like the DE aesthetics (cone-heads not withstanding) and some of the fluff. However, their current rules just kill them for me. In particular, I want to build useful characters to lead my armies. Instead, any character could be replaced with a mop. Hell, if it could still take a WWP, I'm willing to bet that most people wouldn't even notice the difference - save that their HQ was slightly better in melee. Moreover, aside from the aforementioned WWP, spending upgrades on any DE HQ is like paying for buckets of sick to hang off the mop.

Also, special thanks to the guy on the design team (you know who you are), who decided that Glass Cannon HQs with no support abilities whatsoever should also have all the impact of a sponge.

No, I'm not bitter - why do you ask?

I guess I'll go for Necrons. They're not quite as nice aesthetically, but still pretty good. And, whilst I don't like their current RP mechanics, they're still more true to fluff than anything in the DE book. Moreover, it's nice that I can actually pick units I like and use them, without feeling that I'm just throwing points down the drain (hi Hellions, wyches, Archon Haemonculus etc.).

It would be nice if they weren't OP, but at least they're functional on their own - rather than being little more than a taxi service for Eldar.

I will respect human rights and trans people but I will never under any circumstances use the phrase 'folks' or 'ya'll'. I would rather be killed by firing squad.

Yeah, when i read the small novel that is the Death Guard unit options and think about resolving the attacks from a melee-oriented min size death guard squad, the thing that springs to mind is "Accessible!"

You're not. If you're worried about your opponent using 'fake' rules, you're having fun the wrong way. This hobby isn't about rules. It's about buying Citadel miniatures.

Please report to your nearest GW store for attitude readjustment. Take your wallet.

I'm surprised Eldar isn't higher, I have seen so many people recently starting eldar because they have always loved the way they look and the fluff behind them. Although I guess people need to start always having loved tau soon, so they have to vote for that.

most of them are posers who only joined the band wagon so they could win games. Most of us who like the lore, are the ones who had to trudge through a mediocre codex through 4th and 5th edition. Now we get shamed because GW made them stupid shinny in 6-7th ed.
