Which faction do you like the most? overall counting style, looks, lore, etc.

Space Marines simply for their ludicrous customability and ease of writing fluff to fit whatever the hell you want while having good looking models. Can't get much more awesome than Space Knights, and while factions like Tyranids may look cooler with the dinosaur/dragon/bug aesthetic.... they don't really have any fluff or personality to them at all.

This applies to Chaos Space Marines as well because the only difference between them and the loyalists is different gods and horrible rules.

Horus Heresy era Space Marines. Cool models and awesome setting.

Gotta go with space marines. their lore, dialogue in the novels/videogames and design is just amazing.
there's also so much possible customisation, and a lot of room to experiment with what you like in both design and playstyle.
they also spawned the best 40k videogame ever.

I'll always like orks, both in philosophy and design. The sense of wildness, and of fun, and that there was so much creativity possible with the army, are what attracted me to them, and kept me there. Because I don't see any other faction matching it.

I'll be honest, I've always felt that no matter how much you "grimdark" things up, the 40k universe is still a big, nonsensical, cartoony mess. And the orks embrace that.

Imperial Knights- Cause Bretonnia deserves to be in 40K.

Legion of the Damned- Cause I want to play Daemons, but I don't want all the blood, bio-slime, psyker ooze and genital fluids that Chaos leaves behind.

Adept Soro- oh.

We need a sticky in this forum section that lists all of the factions for forum polls. I can't remember the last time time a post with a poll like this actually listed every single faction.

I'm surprised Eldar isn't higher, I have seen so many people recently starting eldar because they have always loved the way they look and the fluff behind them. Although I guess people need to start always having loved tau soon, so they have to vote for that.

Imperial guard, of course. We have tanks. We have aircraft. You have death.

I like how SM, CSM, IG and Tau are nearly tied. I know this is too small a sample size, but if this trend continued across the entire playerbase, GW has been severely neglecting two large chunks of it.

We love our god awful faction. We're masochists. Hence all the Slaanesh players. The Nurgle worshippers Feel No Pain, the Khorne fans only care about blood and slaughter (ours or theirs, doesn't matter), and the Tzeentch followers are used to Change with the highs and lows it brings.

They could make our tanks randomly explode every turn on a roll of a 6 and we'd still play Chaos.

They have an arbitrary and undisclosed criteria for being a 'main faction', what did you expect?

They're really all very well done. Besides my sig, I have wolves, crons, and use to own Eldar... really only Admech and DE have escaped me and I like their aesthetic too.

My favorite: lame, but still marines

My least favorite: Daemons... just too straightforward and predictable (I still like/own them, just they're not at the same level as the other lines).
