Well yeah, avoid the Frat jerks for sure. And yes, Linkedin is a good resource to use. Lots of companies just troll it searching for keywords.

Damn straight. Every university brings back alumni to speak at career day during homecoming weekend and they usually 'stick around'. You have lots of opportunities to use your college educated position to meet job opportunities. If you thumb your nose at that opportunity you deserve to be folding sweaters at retail.
My problem is I had some friends who got he prestigious internships at like google, but only promised to help their Frat brothers(I hated the idea of fraternity, people that will only be my friend if I be their bitch for 11 weeks). And those same people tended to be insufferable people who gave me gak because I didnt want to go party everyweekend.
Should I focus on Linkdin at all?
And you are ignorant about fraternities and therefor will be worse off for your biases. Most frats, even social party ones have codes of conducts and core values which can help distinguish candidates. I would also bet that 7 out of 10 of your 'frats' on campus are professional organizations which usually focus on a particular forum. My Fraternity is a Professional Mens Music organization. It is primarily for promoting music and does so via greek life. Our campus actually had 3 music fraternities. If there is a major, or a club, there is probably a fraternity for it. For people in the music arena looking to hire qualified music teachers, performers or managers, damn straight being in a music fraternity is going to help. Same with ones focused on technology, or business, or science.
And linkedin is for people who actually matter connected to others who actually matter. How you going to get 'linked' to anyone if you are not actually linked to them? linking on linked in is seen as an endorsement of that person's skills and character. People don't link strangers or people they are not willing to vouch for.

Every experiance I have had with Frats has been bad, especially here at SC. They are loud dude-bro types that will only talk to you if you are in their frat(Which one requires you to drink a gallon of horse sperm)

When I was getting out of the army, I looked at applying to Men's Wearhouse... Similar concept to Big and Tall or DXL stores. But you definitely get some good connections, skills and knowledge in working in a place like that.

Again - are you?
It is a big deal as first impressions at a job interview can make or break you.

I was not on the work study program but I got a job at the university working cutting the grass. I cut grass in the morning before class and it was one of the best jobs I ever had.

Start your own business?
What can you do? How cheaply could you get going? You don't need premises to work out of, it's a common mistake to invest in a real shop front.
What is your town crying out for, and what can you do about it?
Get on the internet and see if there's any kind of business venture support. Your bank may well do free seminars on basic business skills - simple accounting, tax requirements, marketing yourself. There may be local funding for startups, or a network of "business angels" you can pitch your ideas to who may be able to help with costs for a share of the profits.
There may be local business networking meetings - a chance to meet other local businessfolk and see what you can do for each other. They're often breakfast or evening meets to cater for busy people. Dress smart, don't drink alcohol even if it's offered and have your material ready - cards, contact material, an elevator pitch.
An elevator pitch is a short open-ended introduction of who you are and what you do - business marketing training courses will school you on this kind of thing.
Be prepared to walk away from network meetings if 1) nobody there is "your type" of business; 2) everybody there is an accountant trying to get YOUR business.

gas stations-work is fairly simple on average, they can probably fit odd hours if needed, and you can meet a wide variety of people that will possibly want to chat for a bit while waiting for you to ring them up or whatnot

I think you would be a fine addition to the Junk food industry or you could work from home in front of a webcam for those who like young nubile flesh
