Cripes, 28 years. That's longer than most of you have been alive.

That is exactly how long I've been alive. 28 years and change. This game is almost as old as I am!

I first saw it when I was like maybe 11 or 12 at a local Hobbytown USA (which sadly closed down a few years later, although they quit carrying gaming stuff before that even). I thought the minis were pretty cool, but my dad did not approve (he was overprotective back then and didn't even let me play first person shooters or anything until I was like 15!). I didn't actually start collecting until about 2 years ago, and played my first actual game in September of 2014. I hope to play it for many years to come!

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

Since release, way back at RT. I'd not realised 2nd-ed had come out when I stopped around '93.
Then back in for 5th ed around '11, and am still here...

My dad got me in to it when I was about 5 or 6, can't really remember. So that puts me at 19/20 years.

I've been playing since about February this year.

I was REALLY into the hobby side of it when I was in my early teens ('92-'95) in 2nd edition, didn't really play much though.

For the greater good...
