At the FLGS we used to have here there were a couple people who played less than ethically.

One(IG) horrendously tailored and also found certain point levels where he could get in a bunch of cheap powerful units and the opponent really wouldn't have a response a that point level, like 500 point games with several lemun russ.

The other would list tailor against new players and frequently go several hundred points over the points agreed upon.

The IG player challenged me to a game in front of pretty much everyone(and they knew I hated the guy) I responded with a flat(but not rude) no, they all started laughing at him for getting shot down completely, no excuse just no I wont play you.

Yea I actually did ask him for his rule book at one point. He declined saying he didn't want me "mucking up" his book. - pointing out that my rule book was a tad beaten up. (it was over a year old and seen about 2 games a week to that point. Was very well read)
When I told him ok just show me the rules his response was pretty much "I don't have time to teach noobs how to play. Learn the rules or don't come to tourneys"

And to my knowlege neither the TO or this guy have been spotted around the local gaming scene in quite a while. TFG has also been barred from more then one Lgs in the area. - aparently he dosent "play well with others"

I pretty much assume that if someone is claiming something that sounds that powerful and then being very evasive about showing the rules they are almost 100% certain to be cheating. I would call over a TO, explain the situation and mark him as 0 sportsmanship.

The last escalation league I was in had a (stoner) guy who would constantly forget rules, and not know things. He never had a rule book or codex and went from "memory" - Wich is fine in most cases but this guy had a tendency to if he lost the game, go home and load up army builder - copy your list (or what he thought you had) and go over every rule. If he found a mistake in the game he'd conplain to the mods that the game should be invalidated - count as not played and not count as a loss for him and no points for the winner. He'd do this EVERY GAME he lost. For his wins - not a peep. He'd also spam games to get as many as possible. This usually meant he had a "perfect record" - pretty soon everyone caught on - and then any time he asked for a game - no response. Just nope. People stopped playing him - he eventually dropped out and did not register for the newest one.

Good riddance.

As a random aside to all of the TFG talk (my apologies for going off on a tangent), Devourer Termagants get 3 shots. So, if he had 25 Devourer Termagants, he should have been rolling 75 dice not 25. I'm confused unless I missed something.

Yeah sorry I mentioned it earlier and someone helped out I think they were called fleshborers only time I ever played nids and the word devourer came up a lot but I know they were meant to only have 1 shot each. Sorry im still a nub

Facts are chains that bind perception and fetter truth. For a man can remake the world if he has a dream and no facts to cloud his mind.

... but even worse, each turn he kept "summoning" more guys. Even when i hit combat, and killed his HQ (who was in a larger unit and the only special model) - turns out it was actually "this guy with this necklace modeled on" - more summoning...

Daemons have multiple ways of summoning in more troops, some of them don't even require a model to do so, but the pieplates were for sure cheating, 4+ invuln could be done with Cursed Earth (1+ to inv saves in a bubble around caster)
