As you say OP, BA are fine for casual. In fact, BAs are really really fun to play away from cheese fests.

I don't play SM though, why would i? BAs are 10x more awesome

Are BA casual lists as good as eldar or necron casual lists?

They are not bad at all. They are just not on the same lv as Space marines. But bad no not at all.
Just focus on the strong points of BA instead of the common parts. Just their I5 , fnp and close combat tricks might make them worth it.

Casual list are as good as you want them to be. The whole idea of casual play is not to bring a list that is way more powerful then your opponents.
But in contrast to the eldar codex BA does have some traps in their unit selection.

The latest book was from 2014 or 2013 IIRC, how is that even possible ? I thought the 2 years lifetime of the V6 was just an exception...

Yep, apparently so.

The rumors come from two of the most currently reliable sources, with one of them hinting at a multi-week release with new model kits coming as well.

Just so we're clear, Sad Panda didn't say there was a book. She or he just said that January is Fyreslayers for Age of Sigmar and February is Space Wolves for 40k and that the Wolves would be more than just a single week of releases.

I can't recall exactly where I read it, but IIRC, Sad Panda did hint heavily at a codex for Wolves, and not a campaign style release.
In fact, I don't think we have even the slightest rumor yet about what/if the next campaign is going to be!

The only things we do have atm, is all-but confirmed SW's in Feb, plus vague rumors of a Deathwatch board game + Rubrics sometime after the summer, & absolutely no Chaos codex.

He didn't say anything about it beyond what amounted to "February is Space Wolves".

Just check out Pretre's rumor tracking thread and go to Sad Panda's entry.

Meqs with jump packs are bad in 7th. Meqs w/o free transports are bad in 7th. Grav cannons on non-skyhammer devs are bad. The trend here are non-meq units and formations making marines good. Of which the ba have none. It doesn't matter if asm are troops because they are bad.
