That being said, I'd never take stormboyz over bikers. Stormboyz have exactly three advantages over bikers: they can waaagh!, they're cheaper, and they can go up levels in ruins. Bikers have every other advantage you can think of.
Yeah, jump infantry in this game have really gotten the short end of the stick regarding rules. To me it would have made more sense to give jump infantry jink rather than bikers (given that they typically have worse armour/squishier) and have the bikers +1T be their way to compensate against firepower. At least this way stormboyz are able to do something against most weapons out there and things like assault marines can last 5 seconds when shot at with a battlecannon.

It would have been nice since Stormboyz have such wonderful and fluffy models. Alas, perhaps in the future they will be useful again.

for Deffkoptas, I've never turboboosted and charged, even on a waaagh. The BRB p. 63 says tubroboosting precludes any shooting or charging in subsequent phases, and since there's nothing in the Ork 'dex saying a waaagh overrides this specifically, that seems rather definitive to me.
But also, you cannot both move *and* turboboost in the same turn, so that also would deny this tactic, nes pas?

You turboboost in the shooting phase, so you can totally move 12 and TB 24 afterwards.

ah, yes. My mistake. And clearly, a mistake I've been making in my gaming group much to my own detriment, because talk about locomotion! I'll have to remember this to avoid the error in future. Can't shoot or charge of course, but it's certainly a great way to take those open objectives no one thinks I can reach...

Yeah, half the reason I take warbikers is because of that insane movement, which they get a bonus to cover from.
