No but mortals can go into the warp. I'm just supprised that no god (besides slaanesh and even then that wasn't a fight) has personally left their thrown to fight. I would especially think Khorne would delight in leaving his thrown to crush those who dare to enter his realm.
As far as I'm aware none of the Gods are particularly concerned about fighting personally, they're more concerned about destroying realspace, killing the emperor, collecting relics and generally making sure that everything is going swell for their side. The only gods I believe people have met personally in the Warp are Slaanesh and Nurgle. Tzeentch is impossible to find in the infinite labyrinth and good luck to anyone who wants to venture into Khorne territory and find the throne of skulls. The one exception I can recall is when Khorne strikes Skarbrand and tears a massive rent in the earth, it fills with blood seasonally.

There was a book in the Black Library about Rogue Traders going in and out of the Eye of Terror.
During one scene theres a battle and Khorne and Tzeentch sit down to watch it, and start manipulating the battle like its a real game of warhammer.

Well, I can't recall any times in 40k. Although Fulgrim did capture that perfect psyker to serve as an avatar for Slaanesh to manifest in the material world through. But we don't know if the rituals completed yet, as its supposed to be a 13th Black Crusade precursor event. If you look at Fantasy though during the end times Slaanesh opened a portal and manifested all "Eye of Sauron" style, and was about to step onto the material plane. When the elves managed to stop the ritual. She/He/It then reached through with a giant hand and literally dragged several elves to hell. Literally, the only cool parts of the End times Elf book. There's a couple things wrong with that.
1. They need realspace. They don't even exist without the beings that inhabit it. Those beings cannot survive in the warp either. No people = no gods.
2. They don't give a toot about relics. They need no materials. They exist only in the warp. Those relics are only important because they make people empower the gods. See previous point.
3. Things are already going swell for them. Chaos won the Horus Heresy. Traitor Marines lost, but that wasn't what the Chaos gods cared about. They now have a galaxy that's basically incapable of doing anything at all except making them stronger.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."
This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.
