That is what I want. Call it Dawn of War II part 2 or Dawn of War 3. Or even Hello Kitty Island Adventure. But make that game!
I always loved the CoH and
DoW 2 style of controlling squads, suppression, reinforcements, vehicles (although they can definitely fine tune controls on them), retreating, and capturing points. It really made map control important and it spread out the fighting so it didn't turn into the battle of the deathball to see who's ball is bigger and steam roll the enemy base (look at you StarCraft 2). Also it created an ebb and flow shift in the battle where you can win a skirmish and gain some map control but soon your retreating as the enemy retreated, reinforced, and pushed out (with an adjusted battle plan/unit composition) and made attempts at objectives. Losing a skirmish wasn't the end of the game unless you took catastrophically high loses like having multiple squads completely wiped out. Base building in CoH was great when it came to building defenses (barbed wire, mines, bunkers, sandbags) but the standard "build a tank factory" gameplay wasn't all that compelling.
