+1. Good analysis for sure grizzyzz. I am tempted to get those 3 characters to start my harlequin collecting, but I think I need to pump the brakes as I have corsair parts inbound maybe at christmas time this year I'll start wading into harlies. I'd like to have all 4 flavors of elves: craftworld (chumps), corsairs (pirates), dark (psychos) and harlies (clowns). Seems fun lol

I recently traded my Nid collection for a full Harli army. Just need to clear my current queue to start cleaning and prepping them all for painting!

I do think the Deathshroud cannons would've been more effective on the WK, but more because of the lists I faced than anything wrong with the infernos. Similarly, the psychic shriek/-LD combo had a hard time going off b/c of the massive libby adamantium bubble.

The harlequins *did* have a couple of shining moments - the shadowseer hopped in the middle of a chokepoint and forced a deathstar to charge her after about 2" of movement, blocking my field; similarly the solitaire ate a whole riptide wing's turn of firing b/c he was so afraid it'd make it in to close combat. The death jester was great for moving between backfield objectives so my bikes with ObSec were free. They had uses, just not sure that they made their points up.

I feel like if I had more LoS-blocking terrain, the solitaire would've been *much* more effective; most of my boards were pretty open.

Edit: the 3 of them were how I'm starting with Harlequins, too...it seemed like (and totally has been) a great way to play around with them. 10/10 would recommend.

Cool cool man, the main reason for getting that formation for me is the solitaire. Love the lore and the model is just SICK.

Yeah, he's *super* fun. The Blitz rule is also fantastic. I think I played a little too aggressively with him, maybe next time I'll take Grizzyzz's advice and have him take it easy the first couple of rounds.

For sure. I think I'm going to proxy them soon to see how I like them and plan out my purchases for Harlies.

=D

Also just wanted to note, don't blitz for movement until atleast turn 4. If you need the attacks sooner, go for it, but in terms of averages, if you blitz before turn 4 you were better off just moving as normal.

Knowing my luck, after setting up like 16" needed for a blitz and roll for movement...Yikes that would suck.

Yep always that chance and i haven't rolled that low.. but i have rolled under my normal movement on a turn 5 blitz before. It is really annoying >_>

I feel like 12" should be the minimum. Maybe 10" + 2d6 for blitz? After a certain turn maybe? I mean harlies ignore difficult and dangerous terrain so it's not like he stubbed his toe and tripped. LOL

Anywho, we're off topic...
