What do you wear to the flgs?
Just, you know, normal clothes.
My best geeky gear, everyone there actually gets the references!
My store doesn't judge, whatever was the most comfortable clothes I have.
Cosplay! I didn't buy that commissar cap for nothing!
Dress to impress, gotta look good while purging heretics.

I often dress a little spiffy. I like being (or just imagining that I am) the most attractive person in a room. It's a confidence booster, which helps to win games. (Which is also a confidence booster.)

Clothes, but maybe a tshirt or something subtle. I do have a majoras mask wallet that always gets compliments and people looking at it and asking me about it. Seems to be a good one. It depicts the mask of the game on it in color.

I think you and Google have a very different idea of what an ascot hat is...
I used the Wikipedia entry (yes, we live in such a world where hats have Wikipedia entries).

Every so often, after catching an unfortunate eyeful of builder's cleavage, I suggest that our club should enforce a full black-tie dress code. No one's taken me up on it yet.

Leather brogues, jeans, shirt, blazer or tweed jacket.

Once in a while I slum in my Alpha Legion FW t-shirt and leather jacket.

Agreed. Heavy metal t-shirts and ill-fitting (read: not baggy) jeans is as much a uniform as it is awful.

While I hate the neckbeard tuxedo...Ascot hat? I've never in my life seen that worn by neckbeards.

My lucky bracelet. Otherwise I roll nothing but ones.
I also take care to wear some fancy, nice clothes. Not my everyday t-shirt/sweater. I always do this when going out, not just to the flgs.
Back when I was younger, I had a bit of an emo/gothic phase and would often wear a trenchcoat. Now that seems so embarrassing...

Hmmm, so kind of like a paddy cap? Unless no one else calls them that.

I said normal clothes, which for me usually equates to athletic wear, usually jogging pants or hiking shorts (excluding my super hardcore shorty short ones) and either a loose polyester athletic t-shirt or, on occasion, I switch it up and wear a nerdy/WWE/band shirt.

My normal cloths are pretty geeky. Grabbing a random t-shirt out of the pile has better then even odds to have some sort of gaming/sci-fi reference on it. And seeing that most day I’m just wearing jeans a a t-shirt, that’s geeky normal more often then not. But I will make the effort to be sure I do get one when heading up to my FLGS.

I do have a coat I mostly wear out to game, with a collection of pins:
