Im enjoying the game, but I've hit a point where I can't progress in the campaign. The battle on Ixoi, where you have to hold three zones, seems impossible. The Imperials dont have enough firepower, and the tyranids are too numerous/too tough to get off the objectives by the end of the 6th turn. Throw in some really stupid bugs (like torpedoes jumping from one squadron to another) and I'm stuck. Has anyone managed to beat this mission?

No problem, tbh.
Remember you need either one of the objectives to win, not both. Just get the one 'Nid zone and you're golden :-)
I haven't bothered getting both objectives there either (you're right, that does seem like a tough nut to crack) but the secondary award isn't anything you'd desperately need anyway.
So just forget about the defensive objective and you won't be stuck much longer

Yeah, I just finished that one as well. I took the Barge with the Nova Cannon, but it wouldn't let me shoot it... I did kill half the nids and only held one ob on their side and won.

The campaign is Imperial only, but the 'nids can be played in the Skirmish mode, I think.

Skirmish is playable as Imperial Navy, or Tyranids, or Space Marines.

In the campaign you can play as something akin to Battlefleet Armageddon (a mix of Imperial Navy and Marines) but that's not possible in Skirmish - you get either Astartes or 'normal' Navy.

On a related note: Dear Holy God I forgot how disgusting massed Nova Cannons are. I took a 2000 point skirmish consisting of 5 squadrons of paired Nova Cannon cruisers against a tyranid fleet and wiped out 3/4 of it in the first two shooting phases....

Indeed. Don't hesitate to ignore one of the objectives! On more than one of the 'reach a zone', you can pretty much only do it if you essentially deploy on a straight line across from it and All Ahead Full at least once, ideally more than once....

Just posting to say... Loving this game! Really enjoying the turn based nature, a very faithful representation of the tabletop.

Hoping for expansion fleets and campaigns, bring them on p.s. The Baal campaign is excellent, with really cool missions.

Is there a button to recall fighters? I have been stuck with the wrong thing flying about on occasion and flying them off the board is irritating!

Yeah, I finally beat the mission when I realized I could complete either objective for a win, and then just sent everything over to the Nid side.

Having passed that, holy crap, this game is still great.

I've been steadily playing 1-2 missions per night. I foget how much fun BFG really is.

This has been the best $6 I think I have spent

Any hope for a PC release for those of us who hate mobile gaming? Maybe a port to Steam?

Movement is finicky for me to control. Might just be that I’ve just started. But you can’t take back moves sometimes (I think once you’ve encountered something). But I’ve accidentally overshot a target once, and left an escort out to die.

Nope. The Battlefleet Gothic: Armada game is the PC version of BFG.

Sad - I enjoy the Armada game but this looks very different and equally enjoyable - ah well, my pc is the only wat I have to play games.

This + PGo are the only mobile games I currently own... and this one is the only one I play regularly. It's really fun.

Between this and BFG:A, it's a good year for Battlefleet Gothic!

I'm investigating using an emulator to play this - meanwhile a plea to the developers, please port this to the PC, I'd even pay for it again...

In fact I've loved it so much (I've never played BFG before) I splurged out on rules, minis and a space themed wargames mat... my housemate used to play and is really keen to pick it up again.

Here's hoping the resurrection of specialist games has this in their sights, as it truly is a fantastic ruleset (with a few tweaks).

I think that's the PC game, not the Android game.

Android game needs more Space Fleet ships

That is Battlefleet Gothic:ARMADA not Leviathan.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Looks good. And you can’t argue with free upgrades.

I especially like the look of the squadron deployment bit. Very useful feature.

I really really enjoy this game. Probably my favorite phone game. Hearthstone is fun but this scratches an actual itch.

Enjoying this game so far!

Getting reskinned Space Marines is very cool, especially if they keep being free. That'd be a great holiday thing, while they work their way through any number of Chapters.

May I ask, is there any kind of loose timeline on when other fleets could show up in the game? (That is, Eldar, Orks, etc., not just reskins.)
