The goals of Age of Sigmar are laudable, the manner in which they achieved them isn't. I don't think copy-pasting anything into the Age of Sigmar ruleset can produce a game that works for a number of reasons I suspect nobody wants me to go into here and now.

I'd suggest going back and asking questions about what Age of Sigmar kept and cut, why it did, and whether it really accomplished anything. Chopping the model statline down ended up increasing the amount of memorizing numbers you had to do, getting rid of movement trays ended up making movement slower because you need to pick up and move every Skink individually, and stripping back the turn order didn't change much at all because they kept with the assumption that every single unit is going to be able to attack three times a turn (one shooting phase, two close combat phases).

If you want a trimmed-back minimalistic Warhammer 40k it seems to me that Bolt Action would be a better starting point than Age of Sigmar. Turns can happen much faster because every unit does only one thing each turn, attacks can happen faster because there are only two rolls to kill your target, weapons are standardized across armies so you don't have to memorize a completely new set of numbers for every unit, models have defensive properties that don't require you to compare Strength and Toughness on a table, and since your stats aren't simply flat to-hit/wound scores they can vary more widely.

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.
