Any of the zombicide games are great fun (I've played quite a few of them, and games can last upwards of half an hour depending on which scenarios you play).

Arkham Horror is a good one, haven't played it too much but it was fun.

I believe RISK (and it's appropriate spinoffs/crossovers etc.) has a rule set for players vs. the game.

Hope this helps!

All been mentioned before but I play the following with my girlfriend;

Super Dungeon Explore - yes it can be long but we break it up a bit and have the ability to leave the board set up
Zombicide - All versions
Dungeon Saga
Blood Rage - Not coop but a great game as said above, fast, fun until the end with awesome minis.
Arcadia Quest

Other board games my girlfriend really enjoys is;
Execution Force

My girlfriend loves the following so far:

Carcassone
Guilds of Cadwallon
Dead of Winter

Me too re. Carcassone. It's got enough 'classic' about it to not be classed as being overly nerdy or a game for 'kids' or 'boys'

Will have to give Dead of Winter a try, only heard very good things about it! Isn't it more a 3 or 4 player game though? (Going on the thread title, now getting an idea of you living in some kind of harem Judgedoug? )

Lords of Waterdeep is a game my wife enjoys. great for just two but more fun when you include other friends. it's not cooperative but loads of fun and great replay value.

My wife really enjoys this one as well along with:

- Blue Moon City
- Stone Age

I'm sure some have been mentioned already in this thread. but my SO and I play a lot of Eldritch Horror and Mice and Mystics. Also, if you're looking for card games, we are big fans of (Cthulhu) Fluxx, Gloom, and Smash Up.

You have not stated preferences of genre for either of you.
Favorite movies, TV shows, console/PC games or other games you enjoyed.
It would help.

I enjoy Zombicide since you can play solitaire or can team-up with your girlfriend and try to survive the zombie hordes.
Also, I have seen people recreate the tiles into actual terrain so it could be a form of tabletop if you wanted.

Good Luck.

King of Tokyo and Betrayal at House on the Hill are ones my wife loved. While not super paintable, both are tons of fun and at most last about half an hour

Dungeon Saga would tick all of those boxes except co-operative, but you can play in teams against one player.
It's snappy, replayable, and has many different scenarios included.

Dungeon Saga is also my first recommendation, and it is cooperative, with exception of a single overlord player.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.
