Yeah, serpentas are the best moritats get now and still remain effective. I miss the old days of my NL moritat jumping around taking out terminator squad after terminator squad with his twin plasmas. Funny that we complained then when they made the ruling he cant be affected by whatever psyker power gave him rerolls. Now he cant even use plasmas effectively.
Another way to look at this is in the rules there are no automatics aside from auto-penning a low AV vehicle with a str 10 or D weapon. Laying a template and automatically destroying a squad is against the premise of no/few automatics.

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs

After seeing that, and much as I would love Moritats to have archeotech pistols, that's a pair of bolt pistols.
But that still looks like an awesome Moritat model - shame it has no jump pack. Time to start converting when it does come out then.
