The Eldar codex is something funny isn't it? All it needs is a few tweaks here and there and it would actually be great.

Dire Avengers would easily be great if they had Objective Secured as a rule rather than just from the CAD bonus for example. Suddenly they'd be taken slightly more.

Much like in real life militaries, winning is not about playing fair.

No they would not. Nobody who currently takes Scat bikes as troops is going to switch to Dire Avengers simply because they gained Objective Secured. Nobody is going to take a 13pt model with an 18in range gun at S4 Assault 2 when they can take a 27pt model that is Tougher, better armor, has jink, is literally 3 times faster (if not more) and the gun is twice the range, +2 strength and twice as many shots.
