A rock can be corrupted, everything can be corrupted by chaos, but being corrupted by chaos isn't the same as falling to chaos.

the rock will be reshapped and twisted, but is still basically a rock, just a mutated and corrupted rock.

so any species, any, that is exposed to the warp for long enough will be corrupted by it, Tau, Necrons, nids, all of them.

actually falling to chaos on the other hand is different, id say given tau society, its nigh on impossible to fall to chaos, unless the participant willingly does it, or is forced into it.

Nids cannot fall, nothing to fall for.

Crons have no soul to corrupt or sell, so they cannot fall either.

I thought that because Tau have like, zero psychic signature in the warp chaos didn't pay them any attention in favor of the tasty humans.

The thing where the Tau were saved by a convenient warp storm is probably plot armour, but it could be used if the story is progressed. Also, the "mysterious appearance" or the ethereals has to be something insidious in the Grimdark.

As cool as chaos Tau sound initially (or Necron Tau or whatever) sound; could we PLEASE for the favour of all four Chaos Gods, the amusement of the Laughing God, the glory of the Omnissiah and the love of the Emperor; not have another "evil version" of a faction that GW neglects horrifically.

Yah. I know at least two races that GW has done that to already...
