Sadly mixed. I preffered the old bases. Those new ones make the storing of minis a bit of a chore, when space is limited.

The only move advantage I can think of is vehicle deployment and spreading the squad out to block / hold.

CSM are on 25's, Sisters and Marines are on 32's

Any new CSM will probably go on 25's to maintain the same look as the other ~5000 points of CSM I had before 32's were a thing.

32mm was announced the day that I decided on trying to do ruined city bases for the sisters I'd had sitting around for a while, so since the 32mm made that easier, I chopped all the horrible slotta tabs of all the sisters and, for my current lowly skill level, they turned out brilliantly.

The marines are still unpainted, not even primed and are stuck to their bases with blutac while I decide on paint scheme and basing style, but they'll go on the 32mm's that they're currently stuck to because 32mm looks better.

I don't care what my opponent does with regards to base size.

Mine is mixed at the moment, although I've upgraded many of my marines to the 32mm ones because they actually look better IMO. I'll eventually get around to putting them all on the 32mm bases, but I'm in no particular hurry.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

For me this is the real crux of the matter. My infantry foam trays are designed with space for 25mm bases and the 32mm just don't fit quite right.

As for gameplay I honestly don't care what my opponent uses and I don't see any real decisive advantage one way or the other with using either base size.

Just getting back into the hobby. I am putting my Tyranids that are not assembled on 32mm bases. If Space Marines can do it, then it's fair any mini can do it.

I agree with what a lot of people say. 32mm just looks better and since my minis are not assembled yet, I will go to 32mm when I have them.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?
