Use Gargoyles backed up by a Flying HT for Synapse. You can even use the recycling Garg formation. They can easily be in charge range by round 2. Two units of base gargs is pretty cheap even with 20 bodies each and if he is shooting those up to stop you from tarpitting, then the rest of your army can do work. In fact I would make it a point to explain that the gargs are going to tarpit him and make him spend rounds focus firing them down. Add in a Venom or Malan for mobile cover and he will waste alot of firepower on them.

Did they change the rules? Last I knew, Towering Monstrosity rule made it so no titan could be locked in combat.

Only the heaviest of metals.

The latest rules for the warhound, Reaver, and warlord make it so they can only be effected by psykic powers with str values.

So no invisible titan. It is the Towering Monstrosity rule.

Also, FW/GW has come out and said that the rules for these models in the HH books are the updated version and should be used instead of the rules in the gold Apocalypse book.

On a Side note, The chaos version of these units, my group decide, has the updated rules, but has the options that their chaos datasheet provides.

Armies:
The Iron Waagh: 10,000+ 8th Edition Tournament Record: 4-7-1
Salamanders: 5,000 8th Edition Tournament Record: 4-2
Ultramarines: 4,000
Armored Battle Company (DKoK): 4000
Elysians: 500
Khorne Daemons: 2500

The other thing is depending on where he gets his Warhound stats from you can't keep it locked in combat. 30k book 5 Warhound has the rule "can never be locked in combat."

As it should to be honest

Also maybe my book is different and while they should have said "can't be effected by non str psychic powers" the one I've read said "non str ATTACK powers" which leaves open the stupid invisible thing.

Source, please?
Because:
A, to my memory, the rules in the HH book say that ENEMY psychic powers can only effect you if they have a Strength value. While it's possible I'm remembering wrong, I severely doubt it, because I had thought the exact same thing a while ago, so I looked at a friend's copy while at our gaming store and discovered that blessings still work fine.
B, I've seen nothing to imply that the HH rules replace the 40k listing. Please source this, because I'd much rather use a 30k titan for my 40k armies, but there's currently no legal way for me to do that without running unbound.

So, yeah, gonna need sources on this one, because both of those contradict what I've read.

Just ally in some Culexus assassins and laugh. If the warhound has turbo lasers it won't even be able to fire at the assassins. Use infiltrate to get into his business fast. He'll be forced to deal with the assassins, and since thousand sons don't have a lot in the way of str 8 weapons, ID isn't much of a worry. It's hot a huge point investment, but it forces a response out of him that you can react to. Control him, control the game.

Extra points if you can get a Culexus within 12 inches of the titan and take down his invis.
