The situation has worsened, folks, and it's probably my fault.
So tonight I played him, and tried out a new army: Necrons.
I defeated him with little resistance, killing his Riptide turn one with my doomsday cannon, and crippling the rest of his army.
What's his reaction to this?
"I'm never playing Tau again, they suck!"
He's scouting out the necron codex as we speak.
So, dakka, how do I combat the necrons?

There is no place for the weakwilled or hesitant. Only by firm action and resolute faith will mankind survive. No sacrifice is too great. No treachery too small. |

Don't play this guy. He REALLY sounds like a tool.
Seriously-if he's this much of a sore loser, he's not worth playing.
Also, how did your Doomsday Cannon one-shot the riptide?

Doomsday Cannon is s 10 ap1, and if i'm not mistaken Riptide is T5, so instant death.

Riptides are Toughness 6, so it wouldn't had suffered ID.
But yeah wow, sorry but your Dad really does sound like more than a bit of a sore loser.

In this case, however, I can't blame him. If riptides were T5, they probably would be OVERcosted.

Tell him to read the rules. Riptides are T6, not 5. This person honestly sounds like a sore loser. I'm sorry to say, and I'm sure he's a wonderful person outside of 40k., but his behavior is close to inexcusable.

Peregrine - If you like the army buy it, and don't worry about what one random person on the internet thinks.
