Dragonfate Dais and the Realmgate went together very well. Both solid pieces. The Ophidian Archway however, was horrendous to assemble. Huge gaps and the pieces didn't fit together very well. Same with the Dreadfire Portal actually.

The Ophidian Archway, for all its detail, is just kinda... bland. It's a ruined wall. Whoop-de-gak.

The Dreadfire Portal (and the stairs that came with it) was the one I didn't get. Much happier with the skulltower throne and the chaos vortex thingy.

Hmmm, the bundle with the two VSG and the Reactors is pretty enticing. It probably comes with a datasheet to allow you to use all of those things in one Fortification slot.

Layer Paint Set
Prices $248, £150, €210 approx 45% deal
72 layer paints

I was thinking about picking this one up but no matter how I calculate I only get to like a 12% saving.
You also get some sort of case with it if it's suppose to be 45% saving them the case has to cost like €70.

72*3,30= €237,6

There are 76 layer paints total and I'm guessing the 4 that cost €4,5 are not included.

You won't be ordering anything.

These are solicitations to independent retailers with possible products for the Christmas/holiday season. It says so in the pictures even.

It's good to see the Deathworld Forest getting thrown into a bundle less than a month after its release. I think GW know that they dropped the ball on that one.

(I mean seriously, the shardwrack spines look like someone just rolled up some putty, pressed into it all over and then once it dried stuck on some extra blobs for variety. Those things are 90% paint job, 10% miniature. And we don't get to buy that 'Eavy Metal paint job.)

Then how are the retailers suppoused to order them if they don't have a real number of how will buy what?

Not only that, independent retailers could be unaware of some rumours and pre-orders (I've seen that happen on four stores).

The bundle isn't slated until Christmas. I don't know how we got the leak this early, but again, this is intended for independent retailers only.

It's not a question of "They're taking preorders from customers via stores". They're gauging interest from the stores themselves to figure out what would be a reasonable amount to produce and if it's worth the effort to get the boxes made, maybe some "fortification formations" written up, etc.

Notice that it says:
Fulfillment of orders subject to a minimum order quantity being achieved globally.

So if the threshold that GW sets for the order quantity isn't achieved(say, 50k orders for the bundles)...then these just might not happen.

Then again, it would be better to take some real numbers instead of guessing.

Let's say, the next 40K edition will be a disaster, and sells will drop like a rock, meanwhile AoS will start to reing supreme and take over the tables.

Meanwhile independent retailers ordered the exact opposites. AoS scenery sold out in a week, 40K scenery in stock for several months.

Of course this is just a crazy event, but the point is that if this are suppoused to be private orders, then they wouldn't produce certain bundles that could actually be better or more demanded.

Anything goes, sure, but a more precise number could make easier for GW to select which bundles produce.
