Crushers are great. Definately not worth 135 points, but really, really good for ~7 warp charge. Not only have I neve seen anything attract fire like Crushers, but their 3W actually gets a bit of milage these days with the shift to mass str6/7 spam and popping them in within next turns charge range means everything gets fired at them and if you pick your targets, sometimes you only need 1 to survive to mess things up in combat.
Honourable mention to daemonettes [fast, mass of rending attacks] and horrors [gtg on objective in cover, provide warp charge] as the model of choice for summoning and screamers for last turn objective grabbing and the ability to threaten tougher vehicles with their melta-jaws. Flamers can also be decent if you've got some cover campers thinking they're safe or if you didn't bring a skull cannon.

Otherwise the psykana division (CTA allies) wouldn't ever be able to summon stuff, same with lib conclave etc. Not that they're the fluffiest ways to summon things of course!
They shouldn't be able to summon things and there are rules to support them not being able to summon.
Conjuration: The new unit then arrives via deep strike
Deep strike: Roll for the arrival of all deep striking units as specified in the rules for reserves and then DEPLOY them as follows:
CTA allies: Cannot deploy within 12" of each other

I rather like screamers, as they easily massacre culexis assassins with their slashing attacks.
Of course, I play Thousand Sons. I hate Culexis assassins.

You can´t deploy them within 12" during the deployment phase. There is no deployment phase with deepstrike

My favourite summoned has to be the disc tzerald.
Comes with a roll on maelific, so he can summon more stuff in future turns.
Fast as anything for zipping onto objectives
Takes more than a cursory amount of shooting to eliminate, with a 4+ jink rerolling 1's.
Small enough to hide most places.
Oh and when you cast sacrifice , kill a horror and get two blues and another WC.

Love that last sentence. Next turn move the units apart to gain more small 2 man units as long as mission doesn´t have kill points.

Where does it say deployment phase? It just says when they are deploying for battle, which in this case is happening during the deep strike.

There is even a games workshop FAQ that specifically states that librarians are allowed to summon. I've not heard anyone debate that they can before.

Arriving from reserves is considered deployment

I must have missed that question in the FAQ, but this wouldn't be the first FAQ to go against RAW from the BRB.
It must have been debated at some point though for them to consider doing an FAQ on it. Also the FAQ only states that space marines can summon so you have to default to what the rulebook says about it for all other armies including aeldari armies and the rest of the imperium.

Made a YMDC thread for this here so as not to derail the thread from deciding what daemons to rustle up
https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/722560.page#9290324
The FAQ in question was this
'Can Space Marines really summon Daemons? And even summon Daemons on a roll of 2+ using the Librarius Conclave’s Empyric Channelling?
A: Yes, to both questions'
Anyway, can discuss more on YMDC!
