It would not be impossible to think that the thunder hawks are not manned by the reserve companies as they would probably be dedicated to the position.

I am pretty sure I did add the thunderhawks and space commanders, but I'll double check it.

Of course, the number of 1000 is only in relation to line company Astartes. It never applied to Neophytes or any space marine not a permanent of a Veteran, Battle, Reserve or Scout company.
