Heh i guess its something we might consider house ruling. i guess its funny thinking about getting a very large vehicle on top of it that is hard to remove so that people cant get within 3". though i never would.

One Attack per model has me really worried about trying to get GK in melee. Especially with no bonus Attacks for charging. I know the Paladin Ancient is around now with the flag as a bubble, and I know 3+ armour has gotten a lot better, but I've spent too much time watching single attacks whiff to trust that a unit of GK is going to do anything more than flail ineffectually in melee. Especially after they hiked the price on Purifiers and took away their extra attack.
Purifiers don't even get 2 attacks anymore?
I sure hope Paladins still get at least 2!
Depends on the melee weapon you give them. 2 attacks come from falchions now.

it depends, narratively we usually play it as "important data drop located at those coordinates, or reading possible STC reading at this location... so lets go park a huge tank on top would be kind of ludicus.

As a Grey Knights player, I will openly admit that Grey Knights do not look competitive right now. I think at best I'll be using them as an elite component of one of my other Imperial armies.

Should check out the grey knight thread, there is a lot of optimism in there about them being a good elite army option. Smite spam with d6 purifiers may be a thing.

But don't you need to be within 3 inches to use it? There are certainly some units and combinations that will make their way onto the table, but I'm struggling to envision my whole force being deployed as it has been in past editions.

Yes. Think the captain extends it to 6 inches. Storm ravens and rhinos to transport them can fit two squads in a raven. Not sure how GK will fair against hordes though.

Agreed on the Stormravens point; I will be including at least two in all of my lists.

after 3 matches played i guess elite armies will be still viable but not in the way they was used in previous editions, you need some "mass", most missions are wint just by sheer number of models, i dont think should be viable again play 5 men marines squads for example, you need more bodies, now tyr orks demons can easily put on table 200+ efficient models. For example the list of chaos i tried plays more than 80 models and to be elite is not bad.

As for driving on the Objective:
The way we pay it locally is that the objective is a crucial point on the battlefield (e.g. high ground, or the pivot point in a larger battle, or an area that needs capturing for future deployment of artillery, etc.)... so unless it's something like the Relic where the objectives are specifically things then yes, tanks can park on top of them.
FWIW GW said yes too.

So if a tank is destroyed on top of a objetive, that objetive becomes inaccesible for any player?
If you play without removing destroyed vehicles from the battlefield, of course.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

Destroyed vehicles became terrain that could be climbed on in earlier editions, and in this edition are removed from the battlefield when they lose their last wound.
