You guys have successful rerolls with the CP ? EVERY TIME I use a reroll it gives me the same result or 2 instead of 1.

Even a 2 would have helped here to prevent perils.

Watched a game between a fairly competitive Space Marine list with regenerating TFC, regenerating Devestator squad, Stormtalons, Assault and Primaris Assault Marines lose The Relic to two Death Guard starter boxes, a Typhus conversion and minimal tactics.

First game of 8th. My Tau vs. DA. First turn I used Manta Strike to get my Commander & Bodyguards into his lines, took out his Razorback w/ a Company Champion and Command Squad. He rolls a 6 for the explosion, kills all but two of the Vets and puts some wounds on the Champ. I don't charge (obviously). His turn, he turns his predator at the suits, manages to take a wound off one of the Bodyguards. He assaults w/ the Champ and remaining Veterans, and with Pile In moves, is able to get his Champ into combat w/ my Commander. Veterans manage to take another wound of the suits, and Champ misses all his attacks. My Bodyguards attack back, hitting and wounding twice. Vets fail both their saves. Bodyguards win combat (!!). Commander attacks champ, hits all four times and wounds with three. Champ has three wounds left. He rolls three 1's. Uses a CP to re-roll one of them - comes up 1.

I still lost the game horribly, but a Commander beating down a Company Champion in CC, is a win in my book!

I lost a GK Terminator to a Dark Lance overwatch in my first game of 8th.

Then two games later I lost Coteaz, 2x Jokaero, and a warrior Acolyte to a Perils roll. Chose not to Command Reroll; embrace the pain!

I tabled a Tau army with CSM...

Honestly, elite infantry seems surprisingly strong v. walkers now. I lost a morkanaut to custodoes in a single round, I killed a knight with big choppa nobz, too.

I saw a Blood Angels player win a game.

The entire store was quiet for a few minutes in awe and respect.

However I think we were still a threat last edition. Flyrants were real, as was the different route of Master of Ambush Dakkafexes

I've had to use it four times on my Vindicare's shooting phase. Without CP rerolls he'd have just missed every shot in some of my games. Good thing I didn't have anything else I really wanted to do with those points, and had a Brigade detachment anyways

1. Mephiston decides to overcharge his plasma pistol in an attempt to kill my MM LSS. Rolled a 1. Command Reroll, got another 1! And I got a victory point for a character death Tac Ob.

2. I have two 4 man scout squads (each had lost a guy earlier) who have been charged by a group of 5 Terminators with PS, 2x PF, and 2x CF. No wounds from overwatch. They wipe out all 8 scouts.

The Bike Chaplain I had behind the 8 scouts piles into the Terminators. He kills 3 with his Crozius. Opponent's turn comes again, Terminators manage to get a single wound onto Bike Chaplain. He kills the last two with his Crozius.

I only made a Bike Chaplain because I am a fluffy player. I have Chaplains for all 3 of my Ultramarines companies, my 10th Company Chaplain rides a bike like the 10th Co. Captain. He is now honestly my favorite unit so far in 8th.

In my game last night, a 5-man unit of Rough Riders killed the Yncarne(sp?) Eldar God of Death thingie in combat on the turn they charged. To put this in perspective, that is more points killed than the combined actions of all Rough Rider models ever produced and used in all games of 40k that have ever been played combined!

PS: I literally just realized that I forgot about the horse's hooves attack and they still won! Magnificent!!

Not exactly crazy, but made me feel blessed by the plague father when my Great Unclean One passed all 5 of his Disgustingly Resilient rolls in my last game. But my opponent who was using Typhus had also made some key DR rolls at just the right time.

Imagine a Warlord Battle Titans most powerful weapon being stopped by a shield drone lol. Ta'unar is going to get so much hate in larger games.

I had a purifier squad attempt to manifest smite on a predator, roll double 6s. Take 3 mortal wounds, killing the last member of the squad. Then rolling for each unit around that squad resulted in my opponent losing 1 predator, 1 captain and 2 remnants of two different assault squads.

That casting effectively cleared an entire section of the board. I was very pleased with that.

I was playing my Necrons against Deathwatch with Artemis.

Turn 4 comes around and I have 10 Immortals, an Annihilation Barge, 5 Lychguard, and an Overlord. He has Artemis, 4 guys (one with melta, another with Heavy thunderhammer), and a chaplain.

I figured I had won already (Our games go until one army is wiped out), so me being me I had my Barge chase Artemis who kept running, put my Overlord in a tree, and proceeded to chase his guys with my Immortals while the Lychguard guarded the tree.

I lost the game 2 turns after that, It was quite entertaining watching his guys climb a tree

I had an Immortals squad charge my Repressor, and lose 8 of 10 to the overwatch attack. They did nothing to the tank, then died in battleshock. My opponent was not pleased with that, and in the same turn tried to charge a squad of Necron Warriors into the Dominions who had debarked from the Repressor earlier, and also got them demolished in overwatch.

Instead of it motivating me to get back into 40k (out since 6th) it actually solidified my torn decision and sent me into Flames of War & Bolt action! CRAZY!

Just today my opponent decided to charge a group of 5 Company Veterans with Thunder Hammers and Storm Shields and a Captain at my Leman Russ Punisher and a Chimera. One solid round of BRRRRRTTTing later and the unit of Veterans is completely gone and the Captain is down to one wound. He then proceeded to fail that charge by 1"

Overlord with Warscythe wounds a Land Raider twice. Both saved at 6+.

I had a priest eviscerate a wraithlord to death and a commissar who uppercutted a phoenix lord's head off. Priest was gonna go finish off a wraithknight after, but as a mercy to the WK, the game ended that turn.

Probably having an enemy Wraithknight explode 11" in the middle of basically everything, putting lots of mortal wounds on my Overlord, Cryptek, Deceiver, and two Warrior units, and killing two enemy Warlocks, a unit of Warp Spiders, and a unit of Guardians.

First turn charge with Swarmlord on a landraider, two of the four lascannon shots hit, two wounds, fail my 5+ with a CP reroll, he rolls double 6s for damage, one shotted in overwatch!!

Oh, it wasn't my land raider that exploded. It was my opponents. I punched it to death, it exploded and killed all the characters in my army and severely wounded all the other units within 6" because he rolled 5 for the wounds.

I used Wyches and they were actually useful

A friend of mine 'moonwalks' his killa kans and deff dreads since there's no facing values.

I had a ridiculously close game of kill points. In a 1500 point game by the end we were tied on points, he had 3 pink horrors left, I had a wave serpent with 2 wounds. On my opponents turn smite fails, he takes 1 wound off with shooting and then charges the serpent. Serpent dies and explodes. killing all 3 remaining horrors so it ended in a draw with us both on the same number of points and both having no models on the table.
