For me, playing orks I had a bunch of DC with thunder hammers kill my morkananut. When it exploded, I rolled a 6, the explosion did more damage than most units in the game. There was the DC, a warboss, a weirdboy, a 20 something strong ork boy squad, astorath and a sanguinary ancient. I rolled for the mortal wounds and the explosion killed all 4 characters, yes I rolled pretty high. An ork boy or 2 and 3 DC. The characters had all not been wounded thus far and so i thought it was crazy for this much damage to happen. I wanted to know what other crazy events like this have happened to others.

I was playing "The Relic" versus a Necron army, and after 4 turns of battle all that I had left was a Predator (nearly dead), a Whirlwind (untouched), my Captain, one Tactical Squad Sergeant and a single Rhino.

My opponent had 20 Warriors, a Monolith, and Imotekh. Not only did my nearly dead Captain solo Imotekh in close combat, but my Tactical Squad Sergeant got onto the relic, grabbed it, and then managed to tank all of the Monolith's shooting for 2 turns until the game ended. My Predator spent 3 turns running over Warriors while my Whirlwind sat there and plinked wounds off the Monolith. I won the game because my Sergeant tanked all that firepower without dying, and because my Rhino made a suicide run into the Necron deployment zone to secure linebreaker.

I have seen lasguns cause a wound on a land raider.

Was playing darmons v SoB. Buddy charged my skarbrand(had 12 wounds left) with his imperial Knight. He wounded 4 times, I saved two of them(so he has 12 damage coming in to kill skarbrand) used a cp to re roll an invul save and succeeded! Skarbrand survived with 6 wounds and swung back for 28 damage killing the knight in one combat! This was my first game of 8th. Felt awesome.

A friend of mine told me he played a game on the weekend where a laspistol took the final wound off of a Valkyrie.

My most disheartening situation so far was a game I just played: I'd already been rolling pretty poorly but then my Renegade Knight charged a Leman Russ and whiffed 3/4 of it's hit rolls, wounded and then the Russ saved the wound that would have caused 6D on a 6+ save! Then the Russ backed out and combined Guard fire blew my knight to hell. (This is the same game where one Kastelan Robot managed to tank combined attacks from a Terminator squad, a Khorne Bezerker squad, a Terminator Lord and a Rhino and replying by wiping both the Terminators and the Bezerkers. Dice gods: why!?)

Aetaos losing more wounds to guardsmen than to the LOW tanks shooting at him.

Lord of Skulls vs some marines. It did not end well... It shot a combat squad out of existence. One Sergeant deal 2 damage with his plasma pistol, before he and his squad were also wiped out (supercharge death on overwatch). It advances towards another squad, my multi-melta guy firing but missing, and kills four, leaving multi-melta man with the captain. Some terminators flank around it, only to fail their charge and get killed. At some point it kills multi-melta guy, and then moves over to another squad, holding an objective, all of its previous would shrugged off, due to a pesky rule. My marines fire with all their might, but are quickly picked off in combat. That leaves my Captain in terminator armour. 1v1 time, my Captain charged in, swinging his hammer, but missing the MASSIVE DAEMON ENGINE ahead. Khorne swings back, also missing. Finally my warlord hits, though not wounding the Lord of Skulls. Khorne has decided that he's had enough and kills him in one swing. Splat. Victory to Chaos. Note to self: Don't fight Khorne without Knights or BANEBLADES.

I know it's not as crazy but it's very easy to get weirdboy psykers to get D6 for smite results due to the waagh energy rule. I had 2 of them in this one game where both of them causes 11 mortal wounds in 1 turn thanks to this rule. They were aimed at a tac squad so it wasn't super damaging but that's still a lot of wounds

I killed 2 knights with lasguns in 1 game at the tournament I was at this weekend. They didnt do all the damage, but accross the 5 turns i did enough wounds to knights with lasguns to equal 1 dead knight

Had a game of purely marine infantry versus IG Russes with a small blob of vets. Randomly rolled for mission and ended up fighting over a single objective worth 6 points.
In the end I had a single vanguard vet holding the objective while Marneus Calgar ran around punching the guard tanks to death that tried to blitzkrieg their way into the object in the last 2/3 turns.

I had a squad of warriors get charged by two tac marines with power weapons and my full squad did NOT get swept off the board!

It was...absurd.

proceeded to miss half, then proceeded to fail all wounds.

Masterplay by my opponent today. My AdMech + Scions against his Tyranids in a 1000 points game. Had my HQ hidden in a building to give his rerolls to my snipers, and my Onager Dunecrawler on the floor beside the building. He ambushes his Magus behind a wall so I don't see him, and proceeds to take control of my Onager with the psychic power he had, and promptly fire all weapons at my HQ through a window, killing him instantly. Then proceeded on killing his Magus with the very same Onager next turn to avenge my fallen Techpriest. Overkill ? Maybe. Satisfied ? Indeed.

My grots killed a Leman Russ (tbf I had it at one wound and tried really hard to get them to kill it, even leaving it alive in my shooting phase so I could charge it with them and try to get the last wound). But in the second round of shooting they got it!

No, though I thought about shooting my blob of Conscripts at a Stormlord one game after my Shadowsword sent it to 1 wound in a single salvo so I could laugh about it, but I didn't, because they also had a more pressing targets closer to them.

I had a unit of 3 dark reapers be charged turn 1 by 6 screamers of tzeentch. I lost none and ran away. I couldn't shoot them because the rest of my army was otherwise occupied so I had to let them charge me again. This repeated until the bottom of turn 5 when they finally finished the 3 man squad after losing 3 screamers to overwatch and one to my exarch getting tired of their

Had a Trygon Prime come up turn one with Warriors to assault a squad of boyz.

Trygon makes it, Warriors don't. Trygon kills 3 boyz (would have killed 4 if not for the painboy). Trygon loses a wound to overwatch.

I then roll a bucket of 109 dice back at him and wipe him out with just my boy attacks, didn't even get the chance to use my painboy's power klaw.

My deathwatch VS my buddies CSM. He has a Helbrute with 2 wounds left standing in the terrain that can hurt you on a 1 if you charge through it. He is taunting me in a friendly manner because I cant charge him safely, so I take my razorback with 1 wound left 8 inches away and charge. I survive the OW, make the charge, roll a 1 to take a mortal wound killing the Razorback. I then roll a 5 so nothing happens. Then used a CP to re-roll the die, got an 6 to explode, and did 2 wounds to all units within 3 inches, killing the helbrute!

All we could do is laugh that it worked.

I attacked a termy squad with 120 attacks, ended up getting about 50 through and they saved every single one of them...

You guys have successful rerolls with the CP ? EVERY TIME I use a reroll it gives me the same result or 2 instead of 1.
