But you aren't buying the same amount of product. GW is probably content with you buying 3-4 Librarians for that Conclave but realizes that no one is going to 3-4 Primaris Librarians in a single army.

I didn't buy the plastic SM HQs for $30 despite liking the sculpts, not going to buy these guys for $35. Would love to have them both, but not at that price.

Will keep an eye on the start collecting bundles and other boxes. Slap a discount on them and it might be worth it.

Overpriced - box discount - FLGS discount = possible.

I really want both of these characters, but at those prices? I'd rather just go buy a Valkyrie or something for my Guard instead.

It's really unfortunate the prices are going to be batgak high with the Primaris. They are quite likely going to be even higher priced than Stormcast, which makes no sense as they are exactly the same scale.

All sourness aside of them being a retread of minis I have painted more than a hundred of over 20 years, I have to say they are the nicest, most well-thought out sculpts of Space Marines ever. Hands down. It's about time someone with knowledge of anatomy designed a GW model. The basic Primaris marine really shows the glaring apelike proportions of a normal Space Marine. Gravis (beerbelly) armor aside, they are so damn pretty!

I will have to fight very hard against the urge to grab a trio of basic Primaris troopers, a Hellblaster (such a stupid name) and the powersword/bolt pistol lieutenant and field them as a truescale Tactical combat squad of standard marines in skirmish games. But moving onto clamshell characters? Hell, no, and I've bought a small force of Stormcast Eternals at their prices (and still balked the same at $30+ characters, there, too.)

It is insane to this this kind of price hike on the new HQ units. Just one of them cost the same as the masters of the chapter kit that is four HQ quality minis I can see no logical reason for it to cost this much.

Vote with your wallet or create your own HQ's. No different than usual. I never bought an HQ once outside 4th edition Necrons. Been super easy enough to convert Necron/SM/CSM leaders.

Basically what I'm gonna to do. Wait for Start Collecting! and other boxes to have then. Thats how I have buy all of my bloodbound characters for Age of Sigmar. Start Collecting, Starter Set, and Skirmish Box. Theres a limit point of how much I'm willing to spend money in a model I like. Probably, I'll pay 30€ for Krell, as is my favourite model of GW of all time. But I just paid 16€ for him. I'm not willing to pay 30€ for this characters, even as much as I like them.

Yeah, just look at how they reboxed the Stormcast Liberators and Prosecutors going down for miny like 48%. Vote with your wallet guys!

Yes that's AoS, but Guillimarines are just Sigmarines without the shiny gold. £70 for a unit of 10.

If you want the prices for the normal squads of Primaris you need to look at Liberators, the normal infantry.

I think they're referring to: gc-minis.com
Be warned, it takes them a while to respond to your emails, but can't argue with the discount. And remember to support your FLGS as well.

But yeah, this is absurd. I was just recently thinking the Space Marine Commander is obscenely priced for one model. This is about DOUBLE that. Even if I had a ton of money I don't know if I could justify spending that much, seems criminal.

Suddenly DKoK look very reasonably priced. If not, cheap!

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.

I'd be more willing to pay GW prices if they had real kits, like my old empire models and most of the space marine line. Building, posing, and converting is by far my favorite part of the process, and the new way nearly all of their models are unipose and come with few or no options just doesn't do it for me.

Regardless, I'm surprised they chose to price hike this now, so soon after 8th dropped. They've been making a killing with the weak pound overseas already, doesn't seem necessary.

I'm the opposite. I will pay a premium for great models that have fewer parts and decisions. Assembling models is the most tedious/waste-of- time part of the hobby for me, right along with cleaning and basecoating. I want to paint and play.

I'm still a bit surprised how hard these prices are hitting people. I totally agree with the point, it is a crazy price for a single model. I just don't remember hearing so much anger when Librarians were $30USD or Kharn was $40USD.

For better or worse, these are the prices GW has been putting on characters, and it's made character purchases a rare treat for me, always to be hunted at discount.

But, if you like them, but don't like the price, wait for a Start Collecting box, or Gorechosen style combo-box. I feel like GW once in awhile will create a character so over-priced that they look for alternate ways to give it to you when they don't sell. In the case of one Slaughterpriest of Khorne, I think they made so many that didn't sell at the high price, that they packed the darned things into White Dwarf for free.

Well, so far we know they're getting a 3 for $15 easy build kit and they're going to be in the "First Strike" box that includes them, 3 easy build Intercessors, card terrain, and the easy build Death Guard and Poxwalkers.

Don't at all care for the first strike box (intecessors suck at their current points level), but 3 for fifteen sounds like a steal compared to these absurdly priced characters. Or is it 3 for 15 each?

The price for the HQ models really doesnt bother me. The Librarian is a great looking model so i pre-ordered it, but i get people dont want to fork the cash over.
