Excellent battle reports, and I love the fact they're written out and not video reports.
I'll keep an eye on this for future reports.

I've been playing a while, my first model was a lead marine and my first White Dwarf was bound with staples

Thanks very much. As a bit of an oldskool gamer I like the written style as it reminds me of the batreps in White Dwarf. I couldn't do vidreps as I do not like the sound of my own voice. If I can't stomach it I could hardly expect others to .

Funny you should say that, my next bat rep is againot Aeldari. It's almost like you have been monitoring what I'm up to. Just off to clear my browser history.

That was a blast! And I now can’t get the image of “gamboling Warwalkers” out of my head... I imagine there’s a pristine Phoenix Park-like green space just beyond the table edge, and the walkers frolicking about like cows who’ve never seen grass before.

When’s the rematch then?

Also: my Farseer now has a Vyper bodyguard to soak up incoming fire (and benefit from “Natural Leader”), so next time I shouldn’t lose him on the first turn!

It was a toss up between gamboling and sashaying and I think I made the correct decision . As a keen Aeldari player myself I think most types of their movement involves a bit of skipping. As far as a rematch is concerned I'm sure within the next couple of weeks?

Now I’m imagining every infantry unit doing “floor work” with ribbons like olympic gymnasts, prancing in and out of cover with the occasional pratfall and self-conscious save. Sure they’d ALL be -1 to hit if they didn’t insist on that carry on (Favt: Alaitoc aren’t naturally stealthier than the other craft worlds - they’re just the only ones who don’t show off like clumsy cats)

ANYWAY

Playing Pat tomorrow on my kitchen table, but definitely up for another game with yourself next week? Will you have new GSC codex by then?

If someone were to move in nearby, could they join your campaign?

The codex goes on preorder at the weekend so I doubt it. I should have it in a fortnight if you want a crack at the baldies.

Apologies, that's a joke. "Asking for a friend" means the person is referring to themselves. And I live in the US.

I got that you were asking about yourself! But thought maybe you *actually* might be moving to Co. Cavan and looking for a game. Always good to have more players!

That'd be good - the rules look a lot of fun (and just a little bit scary to face too).. How many points of GSC do you currently have BTW?

Believe me, I've considered it, given what's going on in the US. Sadly, I don't think there's a lot of jobs for me, where you are.

Not looking too rosy this close to the border either with Brexit looming, but at least property is (relatively) cheap!

Sadly my immigrant status prohibits me from teaching Gaelic.
