So for mortal wounds would mawloc be better than trygon? And also, if you where to run a shooty list would exocrine, tyrannofex or carnifex be better against them?

Totally - MW is their Achilles Heel.

Bow down to Guilliman for he is our new God Emperor!

Martel - "Custodes are terrible in 8th. Good luck with them. They take all the problems of marines and multiply them."

"Lol, classic martel. 'I know it was strong enough to podium in the biggest tournament in the world but I refuse to acknowledge space marines are good because I can't win with them and it can't possibly be ME'."

DakkaDakka is really the place where you need anti-tank guns to kill basic dudes, because anything less isn't durable enough.

It seems to be god to poir on lots of saves, lots of low AP saves, or mortal wounds.

Or as tyranids call it, devourers, bone swords and psykick powers.

Mortal wounds from nids mainly comes from smite and biovores. Mawlocs create some too, but they usually die the same round they arrive.

So basically spam Flyrants and biovores. Don’t go overoboard with biovores though. Flyrants you can go overboard with.

Trygons doesn’t create MW

Actually you can meet them in melee if you want, just take a couple of cheap walkrants with claws and swords.

The swords are the perfect weapons against custodes, S6 AP-2 D3 (reroll to wound for 1 CP, attack again when killed for 2CP). For 167 points and 2 psy powers each, they will carry a lot of weight.

Just played against Nids last weekend, chewed threw the bubble wrap really quickly and it didn’t do anything to me. The unit that won the match for Tyranids were Zoanthropes. Mono-Custodes cannot deal with Psychic powers, and the 3++ they have will keep them alive for quite a while. That and Acid Spray from Tyrannofex will do some heavy hitting for you.

I didn’t play against Genestealers, but my Allarus Custodians killed a Broodlord in a single combat. Just my two cents, but hopefully this helps!

Hive Tyrants and Carnifexes in CC are very good against Custodes. And Exocrines for range. Also Neurotrophen for smite and psychic scream.

I almost tabled a Custodes army 2 weeks ago. He had one termi-shield-captain left.

Biovores and Mawlocs could also work good.
