The biggest problem with this is GW's own style, which very often has an excess of detail without being associated with Slaanesh in the slightest.

Not that many armies to be honest. Custodes, to a lesser extent Grey Knights, and maybe Sisters of Battle(but not much).

Ultimately it's the blend of color and trim that makes it. Purple and Gold are given(will rhyme with Emperor's Children), and the bodies can be made lithe and ephemeral. I actually imagine this line would do well with being elfin as this Chaos God is very much associated with the races of elves. There is also another trait with Slaanesh which I believe GW is trying to have associated with the god, and that is the snake bodies, scales, and whatnot.

So elfin demonic snakes with beautiful alien faces and golden armor. Something like that.

I'm not really talking about armies as much as units. Elite = bling. Marine veterans that are encrusted with iconography that not even a captain from fifteen years ago could match in quantity. Utilitarian Stormtroopers getting replaced by Scions. Blood Angels, noted to be artisans of some skill, going full renaissance on Sanguinary Guard, and so on. Obviously you'll get that army wide with elite armies. It may not be an army problem as such, but its prevalent enough that at least to me it diminishes the use of excessive decoration to mark Slaaneshi units.

Emprah's Kiddies aren't a problem really. They have an established historical color scheme along with the psychedelic Noise Marine colors and they'll stand out fine. GW should definitely redo their power armor to follow Eldar design a lot more and blend Imperial origin with Eldar curves. A couple of years ago I would have said that's not likely to happen, what with Marines of any variety getting kits that are interchangeable with each other, but these days that GW does so many monopose kits that aren't really interchangeable even within their own little release, like Death Guard, I don't think there's anything holding back GW now. Plus, they should show some skin, even if it's just someone else's flayed skin hanging from their armor. Always a classic, and adds good contrast to power armor.

However, I'm not that concerned with Chaos Marines as other followers of Slaanesh (so with Marines being the stars of 40k, more of an AoS thing), so I really don't care what happens to them.

I do think elfin snakes with beautiful alien faces and golden armor is about the dullest thing I can think of, though. So, good for you if you like that kind of stuff and even better for you if GW makes it, but I certainly hope that's not what an eventual Slaanesh release ends up like.

Of course, there's always the option to go old school noise marines with electric guitar guns.

This too. How do you model a mortal-ascended-to-Daemonhood Daemon Prince who was elevated because he loved art and was excessively perfectionist about it?

Well, are you familiar with Marquis de Sade? Perhaps make a model that looks like a fancily dressed demonic 18th century noble, enjoying a goblet of blood from a freshly squeezed heart. Maybe give him a pair of extra arms playing a golden fiddle or something.

I really think they should redesign Slaaneshi stuff to look like 18th century courtiers. If executed well, that should cover the decadent aspect nicely.
