That's one thing about the new releases that concerns me. I know things change, and it's just a game, but there are a lot of units that have been around since I was a small child and I don't want to see them thrown in the dustbin. This isn't an argument against new sculpts, but rather an argument against getting rid of iconic units.
The buggy reboot doesn't bother me though. To me they still seem like buggies, and orks aren't uniform and aren't overly particular about naming conventions. Letting Striking Scorpions or Khorne Bersekers or SM Devestators sit neglected in favor of something new and then eventually axing them would make me sad though.

I'm fine with Rogue Trader elements showing up in 40K, but they absolutely shouldn't be an army. Another unit that screams for a proper Imperial Agents codex.

Logic just tell me they have discovered a new solar system or Sector in the borders of the galaxy.
There is 2 figures in the image the right one gives a bit of a Death Jester vibe but it could be the rogue trade itself in a long coat with some mask and carrying a sword in his right hand the 3x fire or *spirits* make the whole pose odd.
There is a 2nd figure just in the middle it looks like something half crouching with a wild mane of hair.
Aside of that can't distinguish anything special.

I don't see the link between the pic and what's been said on the facebook page and an RT codex.
They've already confirmed that the RT units in Kill Team will have stats to work in 40k, which is half way there.
The pic implies that the RT wants to get something for the Imperium that has recently entered the galaxy. Surely the only things that enter the galaxy are either Space Hulks or perhaps some Old One Tech?
I think it's the start of another Gathering Storm style campaign, personally.

Thing about buggy isn\t different look as such but that old buggies can't really be used to represent the new units(unless there's another one to be released that happens to fit but then again no such thing with mek guns...) except as count-as system but that won't be wysiwyg at all. The weapons etc are way too different. Will also mean old buggies will be relegated to index rules aka "we suck so bad and won't be ever updated".
Hopefully I'm wrong and there will be plastic aspect warriors one day!

So the start of a new campaign to advance the story arc. I am betting this is where we see the rumoured new Primaris Marine models turn up.

Actually, he wants to claim it for himself. Some Imperial bureaucrat edited in the comment about the glory of the Imperium.
I'm guessing a Space Hulk isn't typically worth talking about. New abhumans?

I'm not sure new abhumans would be particularly notable from an in-universe perspective, unless maybe it was some lost empire of them?
Might be a 40k upgrade sprue or two to bring Beastmen back to the 40k tabletop in some limited fashion. Probably not, but maybe.

A blackstone fortress would definatly fit, blackstone is currently a "big thing" and a blackstone fortress would be something that literally every faction in 40k would scramble to gain control of.

I almost think this is tied to the rumored 'Heroquest 40k' thing that's probably going to just be some hack-job of a board game people buy for the models.
I HOPE otherwise if it is a board game, but who knows...

To be perfectly fair: sometimes their blurbs have big spoilers in them. It's just no one connects the dots. To give one example, this RS:
https://regimental-standard.com/2018/07/25/congratulations-chosen-sons/
What do we see here? GSC and missing Admech search teams. That is the whole plot of the GSC vs SW box. It also mentions Vigilus, and fighting orks - surprise surprise, that is the plot of the new Speed Freaks box, orks invading Vigilus, being repulsed, and doing races out of boredom instead. In an article published month before we even heard about either box existence...
Given the above I am half-willing to bet today's RS, about IG recruiting new artillery crew members, hints at new IG tank box

I am a skeptical man- in part, that is why I am still alive- but if the stories are true, and a new plastic Thunderhawk has appeared within the borders of our galaxy, then it shall be I that claims it using new Squat models and Codex for the glory of the Imperium."

It might be a clever way of announcing Codex: Rouge Trader + a second imperial Primarch. Perhaps Vulkan or Corax is found by this Rouge Trader.
Another possibility is that it is a new planet/spacehulk/or Xenos species?
I guess we will find out tonight!
WAIT. New STC would fit quite well.

Not in 40K it doesn't need to be. It'll be another micro-codex like Grey Knights or Harlequins and it'll serve no purpose. Appreciate the internet snark though.
