This was the 3rd attempt at the game, resulting in the 3rd cancellation / failure:
1. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ccgames/war-titans-invaders-must-die
2. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ccgames/war-titans-invaders-must-die-0
3. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ccgames/war-titans-invaders-must-die-1

It's just not working.

Is there even room in the market for another game like this with MonPoc now re-released?

Oh yeah, I’m sure there is - it just needs to be implemented well. Monsterpocalypse has a specific vibe, there’s plenty of design space for this sort of game (look at King of Tokyo, for example) that hasn’t been explored.

I just don’t think the folks running this KS are the right people to pull it off; not only have they had several false starts, they don’t seem to understand they’re skirting too close to existent IP to avoid getting in hot water on anything they produce. This has been a KS that is too close to identifiable IP to not be worried it would be hit with a C&D before it was done.

It never ends well

Yes, I think so.

There's very much a nostalgia market that's available now - gamers in their 30's and 40's - that would love something like this, done right, done well.

But the clock is ticking and the window is closing on it!

Yes, exactly.

Hopefully someone else comes up with something...similar!
